When wearing and attuned to demon armour, you should have access to the upgraded unarmed strikes.
"In addition, the armor's clawed gauntlets turn unarmed strikes with your hands into magic weapons that deal slashing damage, with a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls and a damage die of 1d8."
Currently, there is no way to use these unarmed strikes. Could this be fixed/added, please?
This is a unique case where the wording of the item combined with the limitations of current systems mean this isn't currently possible. Unlike the monk's Martial Arts feature, for instance, which affect all unarmed strikes, this behaves more closely to the natural weapons of a tabaxi or lizardfolk, etc.:
… the armor's clawed gauntlets turn unarmed strikes with your hands into magic weapons …
To be represented appropriately, the armor would be required to add an additional Unarmed Strike action, separate from the default. At this time, however, items are unable to have Actions attached to them. (This may or may not change in the future, but the teams are certainly aware of it as a limitation!)
If you would like to represent this on your character sheet, it is also a bit tricky, as (at the moment) custom actions cannot benefit from a +1 to attack and damage rolls. To overcome this limitation, the best way I can recommend to grant the action to your character would be to create a homebrew copy of either a +1 battleaxe or +1 longsword (for the 1d8 slashing damage), and add the Ignore Weapon Property > Versatile modifier (and give it a name like Unarmed Strike (Hand)). Then on your character sheet, override the weapon weight to 0, and if you are not proficient with the weapon, customize the to-hit bonus to equal your proficiency bonus.

Thanks Halfwing, I appreciate the reply. I'll do as you recommended for the workaround.
Hopefully a fix for this is figured out eventually!
