Just as a reference, you can see what's being worked on with their roadmap here: https://trello.com/b/vIKxuEs8/dd-beyond-feature-roadmap. As mentioned in the response above, bug fixes are not listed under the "In Progress" section of the site. Since this seems to be a pretty low priority bug, it's likely that it won't be fixed for quite a while.
Correct. Since DND Beyond does not give timelines for anything (including fixes), it could be fixed next week or it could be fixed 10 years from now (who knows?). From a development standpoint, I'm assuming they focus their efforts on new features and issues that affect a huge majority of users. Since this is a very specific bug that only affects players that select a Divine Soul Sorcerer, I would imagine that this bug will continue to exist for quite a while longer (hopefully not for the next 10 years though).
I mean it's well over a year. This isn't just low on the list. It has dropped off in all but name. Which is a shame, since the divine soul is such a great subclass.
As the Spell anyways doesn't appear in the Spells Known list or the Spell selection, I just noted one of these Spells in the "notes" section ( I did this for the shield spell as it's rules are fairly simple and I am shure that I will not forget that I have this spell preapred) and swapped that spell for the new cleric spell in my spells known list. It's not a fix but It is reasonably easy to work with that way. You just have to remember that you can't use your initial spell anymore.
Hey! I've been using the site for a little over a year and I really like it. Big fan.
Now, sorry if this has been posted before, but there's one little thing I think is missing in the Divine Sorcerer character sheet. I searched the forums first but didn't find anything.
A Divine Soul Sorcerer gets the Divine Spell feature and the description says:
"...In addition, choose an affinity for the source of your divine power: good, evil, law, chaos, or neutrality. You learn an additional spell based on that affinity, as shown below. It is a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known. If you later replace this spell, you must replace it with a spell from the cleric spell list."
This suggests that the spell can be swapped at higher levels for any cleric spell but that option seems to be missing.
I don't really think it's a big deal at all, since you can use the customize option but that makes any spell you copy/paste in the notes field appear as a Lvl.1 spell... *breathes heavily*
As I was saying, I KNOW this is a tiny thing but it's crushing my soul the same way elevators sometimes take forever to start moving once you press the button so just posting here to see if maybe someone can relate or is aware and hopefully looking into it.
Edit: I'm not sure if this thread belongs here or in the feedback section. Sorry if I got it wrong.
Thanks for your reply. I figure it's very low priority, and you'll get to it whenever you get to it (after all, devs always cross everything out on their never growing to-do lists, right? right???).
"Could this be approached the same way Warlock spells are selected for Mystic Arcanum? Those spells are available based on certain conditions, in this case it would be level>class. After level 1, it opens up to all cleric spells by level. That logic already exists in the warlock sheet for Mystic Arcanum and for Invocations."
The spell selection would be made in the character builder as a dropdown option.
Oversight. I believe they have an elegant solution planned and are waiting for a specific update to add it.
In the meantime, you can make a homebrew copy of the subclass and change the spell that way.
Still no progress? Can a member of the staff please give an update on this topic?
This bug has reached another year without a fix. Happy New Year, Divine Soul's unswappable additional spell! Enjoy 2020 in our character sheets.
May as well make a comprehensive bug list thread. I'm also miffed to see something needing a patch 2 years in.
Let's not forget about tentacle rods and other items that have special actions that don't get added as possible actions when equipped and attuned.
No update on this? Are you trying to find a solution? Are there any problems?

We know they know about it. And we know their currently active projects do not include fixing classes or character sheets.

They already didn't fix it for quite a while.

Still is an issue...
I would expect this to be resolved not too long after the updated character sheet framework goes into effect.
Fingers crossed.

Homebrewing is of course also valid option.
Still an issue... but thanks for the work around Bombadil84

Hello Bibuloux! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and feedback!
At this time this feature isn't currently implemented in D&D Beyond, but it is absolutely on the list.
Thanks for your reply. I figure it's very low priority, and you'll get to it whenever you get to it (after all, devs always cross everything out on their never growing to-do lists, right? right???).
Anyway, love the new dice rolling feat :D
Keep it up and stay safe!

Ohhh, that's really smart. I like that option.
