This isn't technically a bug, but it definitely feels like an oversight. While making a homebrew background, you can enter the option to choose a tool proficiency by adding one without any specification (this won't limit you to stuff like only artisan's tools as it is meant to work with Guild Artisan, but I digress), but this doesn't work for a "choose a game/instrument" option. Starting with a choice of game is possible using Noble as a base, but with only the free bases to work from, there's nothing to be done for instruments. Adding them all just feels... unnecessarily clunky, especially where you could just make the "any one [tool subsection]" one of the options to add.
