The 2024 True Strike has a variety of problems. There is a true strike button on most weapons in a character's inventory when that character has access to the true strike cantrip. However, depending on weapon type, the attack and damage rolls use either strength or dexterity instead of the spellcasting modifier as indicated in the text of the True Strike cantrip. It has been quite some time and this error remains. At 5th level and beyond, the true strike button becomes even more problematic, but I assume that will be covered in any fix of the overall problem.
In addition to this, for some reason not all weapons in a character's inventory will have the true strike button. This should not be the case.
D&D Beyond actually doesn't have a True Strike button at all, as far as I can tell. Maybe what you're seeing is being added by a third-party browser extension you're using?
