I bought the campaign and the monster manual, and use the beyond app... but the links in the campaign book seem to lead to a different version of the monster manual (both have the monster in) and I get a prompt to buy the other book. I can search the terms and look them up but the experience is a bit difficult. I'm new to this, is there a setup or workaround so the campaign book links to my version of the source books?
I'm sure you've figured this out by now, but just in case someone else is in the same situation: The Wild Beyond the Witchlight was published in 2021, well before the current 2024/5.5e rulebooks. You therefore have to make some decisions about rules versions if you want to run it now: Do you use the 5e sources for characters, monsters, and rules? Do you use 5.5e sources for characters, monsters, and rules? Or do you use some hybrid of the two? There are some things - e.g. backgrounds, races - that only exist in the 5e rules, as they aren't likely to make a 5.5e version of tWBtW. I've made both 5e extended and 5.5e (core and) extended to my players; when something is available in both, we use the 5.5e version. This does make it a bit clunky to search spells, items, monsters, etc., but it's not a lot more work. YMMV.
