Pugilist missing athletics skill?

If i take my first level in pugilist i cannot seem to be able to pick athletics.

 Are you sure you don't get that from your species or background already if those are selected?

hmm... no i picked the arisen species that is trained in arcana and history, and if it was a background thing I would have been warned and picking it would displace the background training so i can pick something different, unlimited by the class skill selection.

[EDIT]: I went and changes species then went back and put the arisen back. I can now select athletics. So... uh... matrix glitch?! 😂
