Twighlight Cleric Capstone explained (5e)

Hi all,

My DM had a question regarding how the half cover feature of the "Twighlight Shroud" Capstone works.

"The twilight that you summon offers a protective embrace: you and your allies have half cover while in the sphere created by your Twilight Sanctuary."

So, the question is, does this work if the enemy you are fighting is inside the sphere of influence with you? 

ie. Wizard cast a fireball from inside the sphere.  Do you still get +2 to your dex save?  Or only if the fireball passes into the sphere from outside?

Yes.

It just says "Half Cover". It doesn't say "Half Cover against attacks from outside the area", so it doesn't have any such limitation.
