If trying to create homebrew ammunition using existing arrows as a template, you are unable to edit and save because it wants you to select a weapon type and you haven't added any of the ammunition types as applicable weapon types.
I did that, be careful though to make sure that you don't have any magic weapon + bonuses on them like +1, +2, +3, etc. because if you do, equipping them on the character will create that as a static bonus across the whole character sheet as it is viewing it like it's a wonderous item with that property that grants it as a boon overall.

The work around right now is to make them wonderous items.

Yeah, the weapon attack and damage modifiers do that. Magic weapons just use the magic modifier. Ammo doesn't need a modifier.
