Yes, you can homebrew a (magic) weapon of a non-finesse type, add a modifier Weapon Property -> Finesse, and then it will behave like a finesse weapon on your character sheet.

Not even 7 years later, nothing is changed. So lame and some people are paying subscription thats kind of a mess. They should add the weapon type in Action for natural weapon not only in Equipment.
They should add a check box under "is Proficient" for "is Finesse". It shouldn't take 7 years to do it.... Also you should be able to add infinite type of damage on a weapon, why it only give one choice ......

Just make a homebrew version and use Modifier Type: Weapon Property, Sub-type: Finesse.
They added this years ago. In fact, Post #21, a couple above yours, had this same answer and is dated 2021.

Yes only as an item, but the difference between item and action is that you can't put modifier In action. You have to be able to make natural weapon with Weapon property option and modifier and additional damage like the Weapon future give if you select weapon in the action type. The actual program don't make you do this. In the trait you can put wte modifier you want it won't change or be add to the nature of the action.

I literally made a finesse staff using the very thing I told you and it functions perfectly on sheet.
So you're not making sense.

Yeah i know you can do it on ITEM but not in ACTION. The difference with ACTION is that you can level overide so it's perfect to make a natural weapon. But it doesn't allow you to put modifier like you can do in ITEM. ACTION IN RACIAL TRAIT. The MODIFIER in RACIAL TRAITS will NOT modify the Actions in the Racial Traits. That's why they need to add MODIFIERS in ACTIONS. So you could ad weapon property + additional damage.
Example : In Racial Trait Option -> Action Fang as Natural melee weapon with finesse property, 1d4 piercing damage + 2d6 poison damage.
Action type (must be choose): Weapon Name : Fangs Ability Score Type (must be choose): STR + check proficient Attack range (must be choose): Melee Dice count : 1 Dice Type: d4 Weapon Attack Subtype : Natural Damage type: Piercing Display as attack : Yes + check affected by martial attacks Action type: Action
Right see, the problem I had is that you're posting in a thread about adding finesse to weapons.
You're talking about using Dexterity for a Racial Natural Attack. In other words, you're off-topic and had not until now clarified that you were. I would recommend when replying to topics to keep it about the topic - it avoids confusion.

For your racial feature just make two actions, one for Str, one for Dex. Solved.

Yeah that could be it but im perfectionist hahaha. I like it when it's clean, so with the finesse option, the game will automatically adjust between the highest bonus between STR or DEX. The should add the same option in racial trait action (modifiers) like they do for ITEMS.
did they fix it yet
