I've been loving everything available on DNDBeyond and recently had a player who became a Vampire Spawn and the party managed to kill the Vampire that caused it to happen. I was hoping that there would be something that could give us the option to make the changes to a character sheet for becoming a Vampire so that it can include the resistances, ability score changes and a big one (in my opinion) is the charm ability because it is easy to overlook.
There was a Dev Update not too long ago (I'm struggling to find which one), that mentioned the upcoming generic Features System being able to work with "buckets." The given example was something like being able to create a generic "Frost Brand" bucket and then being able to apply that to any given weapon. It's certainly possible that something like this will be available in the future for things like vampirism, lycanthropy, etc., though not certain. Your feedback will be passed along, though!
In the meantime, this is 100% achievable using a homebrew feat. Simply create a homebrew feat (here is a very in-depth guide if you need help) and add all of the appropriate modifiers and actions attributed to the vampire or vampire spawn, provided the DM allows the character to remain under the player's control.
