When I'm working ahead of my campaign adding/creating homebrew items or feats that are awarded as loot (or a boon) to a character, it ruins the surprise a little bit when my characters can see (and select) those feats/items from the list in the Character Sheet.
It would be nice if I had a way to select which homebrew feats and items I wanted my players to see.
Thats on the difference between "Your Homebrew Creation" and "Your Homebrew Collection" pages. The homebrew you made will altomatically be added to your homebrew collections and be avaliable for players in your campaing, but you can take it out of your collection to keep it just on your creation page, than add it to the collection only when you need it to be shared.
To do it so its easy, go to your collection list, search for the ones you want not to be shared, click to see its description and you will find right at the bottom the button "remove from collection".
It still be avaliable on your creation list, so to add it again to the collection just do the same there and the button would say "add to collection".

This doesn't apply to items I've added through the homebrew community though - which is a large issue for me. Sure, I can "duplicate" their homebrew too, but since there's no way to make a copy of someone's homebrew to use for a template, it means I'd need to manually create the homebrew for each one.

There's still a valid pain point here.
Sure. That applies only for your own creations when you have a free account.
In order to add and remove homebrew creations from another in your collection you must have a subscription but a think it applies either for hero or master tier.
I assume that you don't have any (so as I don't) since you mention thats an issue as long you need "duplicate" to use such homebrews. But if I'm mistaken and you have one, you should be able to manage it in your collection as normal as your own. It just will not be add to your "creation" page since its another creation, so you would need to add it right from the homebrew comunity page only when you want it to be avaliable for your players.
That still a bit of boring work, it would be nice if you can just "hide-show" right from the collection. As long as I know, there's that micro-managing for content in a campaing when you have a master tier subscription (you can select wich source would be avaliable for players) but I not sure if works the same for homebrew collections within the campaing.
I have a master tier subscription, so I can add homebrew from others into my collection, my issue is that waiting until the last minute to add the homebrew adds extra time, in some cases a lot of it, since I'd have to find the exact homebrew I wanted, which is especially difficult since sometimes there can be dozens of copies of roughly the same item, from different users.
So, the pain point still exists when you pay for an extra tier.
To be clear, even with a homebrew added to my collection, I cannot edit or change it.

Yep. I agree that this is a pain on that.
I don't know how the master tier works and I was thinking the managable content on campaings would cover it. Beyond that I can have you much help, sorry.
Hope that have a solution out there or that there's plans on making it.

The "Manage Content" option only allows me to hide/show official books/adventures - my collections are always shared.
