I frequently want to review my character sheet as it was at previous levels (and occasionally at future levels). Often this is because I want to re-use the same character in a new pick-up group, but need to adjust the level down/up to match the table I'm joining. Even more commonly, I'd like to share character build ideas with others, and be able to review the choices made throughout level progression without having to reselect every choice or speculate at which level certain features were selected. Sometimes I just want to reminisce over what my character was like many levels ago and compare that to where they are now, or plan out what features I might want to select at future levels. What I'd really like is a drop-down menu on the Character Sheet to "View character at level <x>" that lets me select any lower level and display the character with what choices were selected for that level, without having to manually re-select everything every time I remove and re-add levels. Currently the only way to do this seems to be maintaining many copies of the same character in my collection, each progressed to a different level.
In a perfect world, the sheet would also remember what level various magic items or equipment were gained and display a snapshot of the equipment then as well, but even the ability to display only character race/class progression features at various levels while leaving the current inventory intact would still be very helpful. I believe the most common use-case for a feature like this in the community would be in sharing/reviewing character builds, which are typically created with empty or starting inventories on the assumption that we can't guarantee acquisition of any magic items anyway.

You can already accomplish this by making a copy of your character and levelling them up or down as needed.
