"Hello Beyonders, We are discontinuing our current Feedback Portals. We want to thank you very much for all your insights, suggestions, and feedback, it will take us some time to get through it all. We want to make sure your suggestions get the time and consideration they deserve. We will be using the same or similar feedback portal in the future as we start to look at new and exciting things to do. Happy Adventuring!"
I'm disappointed in the lack of improvements to DM tools. Before the merger there was discussion of upcoming improvements. Now it looks like it's all hands on deck for the upcoming One D&D. Of course, we don't really know because of the lack of communication.
I'll still use D&DB to look at my books but I'm looking into other options to run my games online. It doesn't seem like a subscription is worth it anymore.
With the rumors of Chris Cao apparently hating DDB before the acquisition and hating it now, still, I don't expect DDB to get any more updates when it comes to 5e functionality.

Leaving OGL 1.0(a) untouched and making SRD 5.1 CC-BY-4.0 is a great first step. The next is a promise to do the same for future editions. Here's a discussion thread on that.

They just made a significant adjustment/improvement to character sheet functionality that you can view in the change log. Avrae updates have been consistent as well. I still fear for the future of 5e but right now things are definitely improving.
It would seem, based on the recent updates to the changelog, that the DnDBeyond team has been hard at work on their feats system. I'm hoping that this means they will be working on things like dark gifts/supernatural gifts/piety next.

They better be. The day my party will be venturing to Amber Temple is approaching 🤞🤞:)
Yeah I'm actually wondering the same thing as the OP. Is there any news on big D&D Beyond developments? I unsubbed because of the OGL debacle, but even though it's over I find myself really struggling to find a reason to resub. As a community, D&D Beyond used to be better to its users. Shame.

Only one more month until we have reached 1 full year without a major feature release!!!
Is anyone else excited about the anniversary!?!?! /s

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB

Well right now, they are hard at work on nothing apparently.
you'd think that stuff like campaign management and all would be beneficial to both 5e and 6e.... :/
