Update from the Discord, we should know more today
Just got the email mentioned above saying that the test account emails were in error. Still showing the two charges on my card though...
That being said, at least in my case when I pre-ordered the bundle it only charged my card for the digital portion right at that time. I was charged another portion when the PHB shipped and now again (albeit twice) when the DMG shipped. I suspect I will see another charge when the MM ships in 2025.
I just got this BS email titled “Oops! We sent an erroneous email”. Then it tells me to check my order history, where it clearly shows my DMG has been cancelled.
I just tried to buy the digital version of the Player's Handbook 2024, from outside the US if it matters, and on the beyond website it gave out an error, while my bank froze the transaction flagged as suspicious payment. After unfreezing my card, I tried again, and what happened is that beyond cancelled the transaction on their end automatically. No money lost, but it seems like purchasing isn't possible at the moment, and is in line with all their problems the past few days. I hope they fix this soon. And I wish they would just come out with a public notification that card payments have problems at the moment, fix them and everybody would be happy a few days later. This way they're not saying anything and will probably clog their support with requests and lose a ton of money on discount codes.
I got two cancellation emails for the same order. I ordered the full digital + physical bundle.
I had to go through support, as I didn't receive a follow-up email as someone indicated earlier in the thread. Support had me re-request the physical book, but gave me a coupon code so that I would have the same discounts. Nervous about how that will affect my order with the Monster Manual and the bundle/pre-order extra goodies. No clue why it was rejected, used the exact same payment method as before. Even saw the charge to my account. Some of my other friends already had tracking numbers, so I expect I will get my copy later than them as well.
Not a great experience.

A couple of days ago I came in talking about being double charged. At that time two charges were pending. I waited to see if one would disappear. They did not. I have now officially been double charged for the DMG.
In addition to that, I went looking for where to get an answer from the company for support. That in itself was near impossible to find. I literally ended up typing "how can I get support for an overcharge on the D&D Beyond site" into ChatGPT to get the answer.
I reach out, they respond that the cancellation was a mistake. I follow up about being double charged and get NOTHING.
WHAT THE ****!?
I am flagging this to my bank and they will take care of it. But I know the crappy part is that D&D Beyond / WotC will never do anything, won't apologize and won't compensate.
Even on my digital purchase, which was automatically declined by my bank, I ended up with 2 declined charges. And looking further there were also 2 Card verifications (the type that charges $0). So it's clear they have some busted bug in their system that doubles every bank interaction. Why the heck are they not saying anything? Or at least putting their damn transaction system in maintenance. The WoTC support twitter is full with mtgArena issues and barely anything else. Probably double charging people and them not noticing and not saying anything is quite lucrative. I am beyond words right now. I also have a subscription, so I'm fingers crossed they won't double charge that too when the payment goes through.

Once again Same issue with the PHB, now having it again with the DMG. Cant wait for this to happen again with the MM as well ...
I defiantly wont Ever Pre-Order from D&D Beyond again, that's for sure.

What an absolute joke. I'll never preorder physical books through the website again. What a chore this has turned into.
I JUST GOT CHARGED TWO TIMES FOR THE DMG AND I ALREADY PAID FOR IT WHEN I INITIALLY PREORDERED
I AM FURIOUS!!!!!!
LAST TIME I PRE-ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY.

Honestly feeling like I am not comfortable with them having my credit card info anymore and think I should cancel DnD Beyond.
I have lost all trust with this company and them having my CC info.
I’d bet $41.34 this happens when the Monster Manual comes out too!

This will definitely happen again with the Monster Manual.
