I currently run 3 different home games and am a player in one.
"Main Series" - My long running campaign; 6 players, once or twice a month "Wayward Bandits" - My small group of world builders lol; 4 players, once a month "Side-Quests" - Think "day in the life of background characters", which also kinda works as world building lol; I run this every week with whoever shows up, and currently I'll be at 12 different players, which means I'll have to start Deactivating and Reactivating each week, which is kinda a pain. And I'm a player in a Campaign my Significant Other is running (so I'm not the "forever DM"; she's sweet)
After that though, I'm pretty screwed for when I want to run one-shots or other fun campaigns, otherwise, now my SO as to purchase all $400+ worth of books I have in my own library, and that's just not fiscally responsible for us. I'm constantly stuck with deactivating some of my campaigns in order to plan for a one-shot (we do holiday games and birthday games, and it's a lot of fun for us.)
I'm not a "Professional" DM, as I don't get paid to do it, but I would be willing to pay more for more campaign and character slots.
You can pay more for more campaign sharing, as having multiple DDB accounts is not (as far as I'm aware) against the terms of service.
Register a new DDB account
Subscribe that account as Master tier
Create a new campaign using your primary account
Invite the newly created account to that campaign
Enable content sharing using the newly created account
You now can have another 5 content sharing accounts which will be sharing all the content on your main account. The only "downside" is that those accounts can now functionally share content with only 11 "real" players, as your secondary account is taking up one of the 12 slots.

Chaining them does nothing. Because I would still need my main account in the same 5 campaigns, which means I'm still limited to 5 campaigns.
My gf has a separate master tier account (she has a lot of characters, so it was worth it for her before she started DMing) and so I have to turn my own sharing on when in a campaign with her for the whole campaign to benefit; she only owns Humblewood Setting.
So, as of right now, I have 3 of my own campaigns running (Main Group, Travel Group, Side Quest Group) and I share content with those. Then my gf's Main Group (I'm a player, but sharing my content). This Saturday, she's hosting a massive One-Shot, so I had to turn off my other side-quest group for 3 weeks in order to share my content to my gf's one-shot that she's been planning.
What we're planning to do is to drop another $300+ for my gf to have all of the same content... but that's just not fiscally responsible.
You should be able to create more than 5 campaigns or join more than 5. It's just you can only share content between everyone in 5 with the master tier. I've never deactivated a campaign and have 19 under 'My Campaigns' currently (not all have sharing enabled currently though).
My group has 2 master tier subs we use to share content from my account to more than 5 campaigns for example. I enable content sharing in 5, the other master tier sub enables it in the rest to share all my content with everyone.
Yeah, you can absolutely share to more than 5. You can only have 5 hosted on your account, but any other Master Tier account hosting campaigns with sharing on can invite you, and having any character in there will share your content to that campaign as well.

I think you're misunderstanding how content sharing works.
Anyone in a campaign, provided they have a Master Tier subscription, can enable content sharing for a campaign they're a part of, even if they're not the DM
You can enable up to 5 instances of content sharing per subscribed account
Once content sharing is enabled, all content owned by all members of the campaign is shared with all other members.
So for example, say we have Ally. Ally owns all the books on her main account (Ally A) and also has a second account (Ally B). Ally subscribes her Ally A account at the Master Tier, makes 5 campaigns, and enables content sharing for all of them. Now anyone who joins those accounts, up to 12 people total, will have access to all of the books tied to Ally A.
Ally then uses Ally A to make 5 more campaigns, but she can't content share because she's at her 5 share limit. She then logs into Ally B, subscribes at the Master Tier, and has Ally A account invite Ally B to each of these 5 campaigns. The Ally B account can now enable content sharing for all 5 of those campaigns, sharing all of the content owned by Ally A with up 11 additional people (Ally B occupies one of the twelve spots). Ally can repeat this any number of times for her accounts Ally C, Ally D, Ally E etc.

You don't have to, she can enable content sharing for any campaign she's in as she has a Master Tier subscription. This will then share all your books with her and vice versa

As explained, you don't need to spend that much, in fact you don't need to spend anything given your GF already has a Master Tier sub. Just have her activate content sharing on the relevant campaigns

Ok hold on.
So, because she activates "Content Sharing" on a campaign she is running as DM, it auto activates my content? And therefore, it doesn't go against my 5 campaign limit?
Unless this is a more recent change, it did not work like that in the past (and I'm talking the past 6 months). I was running 4 different DNDB campaigns, and was in her campaign, and when I made a 5th (of my own), it no longer allowed me to share my content within that campaign. I guess I'll try it again and see what happens.
Thank you for your patience and understanding with my confusion, because DNDB isn't very clear.

She can activate content sharing on any campaign she's in, she doesn't need to be running it as the DM.
And yes, that won't count against your 5 campaign limit but will still share your content within that campaign
Unless this is a more recent change, it did not work like that in the past (and I'm talking the past 6 months).
This is how it's always worked, since day 1 of content sharing. I know because I've used this option in the past.

It sounds like you activated the content sharing, which would count against your limit

The Master Tier subscription allows a subscriber to enable content sharing for up to 5 campaigns that they are participating in! Each of these campaigns can have up to 12 participants (13 counting the DM)!
Enabling Content Sharing for a campaign means that any content unlocked by any participant (player or DM) within that campaign is able to be used for items or character creation within the campaign!
Anyone in a campaign can unlock content and share it as long as one person (doesn't have to be the DM) has a Master Tier subscription and has used it to toggle content sharing on for that campaign!
Thank you for clearing this up. I've never seen that post before. The forum/help/support has not been intuitive.
And in the past, I have had my campaigns blocked (as soon as 6 months ago), and I definitely wasn't the one sharing the content across 5 campaigns, which is why this has been upsetting for me. Maybe it was a bug on my end or server ends, but that's just been my experience, otherwise I wouldn't have brought this up.
