I have seen that the community is unfortunately held back from their full potential, by the few Homebrew possibilities. It seems that the Homebrew aspect is overlooked, and often very limited. We can create better stories, if only we had more that we could work with.
With that, here is a vote for Homebrew types to see what the community wants.

I'm not sure this is a "We just didn't provide the option" but rather lumped into the same "We can't let you homebrew that because it would require the ability to change back-end code".
That said, you can add custom languages, special modifiers, and actions manually already.
To answer your first question, I was thinking just more different modifiers that you can make yourself, allowing you to better tailor your homebrew to your taste. As for effects, I did not really have a plan for where I would go with that, perhaps we can try to get some ideas for it.
Domains, as I am envisioning them, are less of subclasses, and more as a character's special spiritual domain, a place in there soul that they can use to draw power, retreat to an impenetrable sanctuary, or expand it to the mortal plane and change the grounds of a battle.
While it is possible to make actions through these means, we can make it easier, for those who want more liberties, without the trouble of doing it all themselves.
As for languages, I have spoken on this already, while it is easy to write it into the character, that forgets the mechanics of the language, and it feels more real when you can write it in the builder, rather than as meaningless words on the character.
