A Problem: I enabled content sharing in the campaign I run (am the DM) and a new one just starting up where I get to be a player. However, the new campaign has access to all of the homebrew spells, items, classes, etc that I have made for my campaign that the DM of the one I play in may not want, but does want the official sources I and they have shared as well as any homebrew they make (and maybe some of mine later on).
A Question: As I understand from reading this answer then all content from anyone is shared. So any official books as well as private and public homebrew from collections. Is that really how it works, or does it only share the homebrew from the person who enabled content sharing?
A Suggestion: So originally I was going to ask about content management for campaigns but found this thread where it was pointed out that is on the road map to be done at some point.
However, one thing I noticed that could at least help players know ahead of time is seeing the source or a banner/symbol showing an element is homebrew. When editing a character in the builder, for example you expand spells to see details, the source label says the username of the person who made it (or whose collection it is in? I only have my homebrew stuff so cannot confirm that particular detail). Edit: that is not true either. It only shows up in the collection view, not the builder view or "manage" views.
When adding equipment and spells in the character builder and from the sidebar on the character page (like manage spells / equipment) , the source information is not present. While content management may help with this, could there be a way to mark homebrew content when viewed in the character sheet views with a badge, or the source field, or even a tag "Homebrew"? That would be helpful for now, while content management is in the works and would also be helpful for players old and new to keep track of things that are not official. I know I can't keep track of every spell and item and would be very confused moving from one campaign to another and something I banked on or used often is actually not even a thing.
I agree. Would it be so hard for homebrew to have that little blue house symbol in the character sheet?
I forgot that was even a thing. Going back into the builder I didnt even notice the Race selection specifically states the number of homebrewed variants and has the house icon beside them in the list. That would be very helpful in the builder for things like spells that are formatted in the same manner. And then maybe the same blue icon like the concentration one in the other lists like when opening the manage spells/equipment.

I think that would be a great way to differentiate.
