The problem arises when entirely new products, such as a listing with no compendium in the case of the sapphire dragon, arise. Likely in the future, if more exceptions get added, they'll update the copy again. But as it stands, it's probably comprehensible to the majority of users enough to not warrant a change.
No worries, I appreciate that when it comes to good and money, it's not something people can afford to treat lightly (pun intended). DDB, and D&D in general, can be a big investment.
