Spell slots editing and offline HP management are not available yet. They will come in the next update. Soon.
Sorting characters is on our roadmap. Not the immediate one but high in priority.
Exhaustion/conditions can be edited online only.
Accessibility is very important to us. If there are any missing items in it, they are going to be added sooner than later.
Regarding #3. I can edit conditions but i can not edit exhaustion at all. I've tried while using cellular service and through different wifi connections.
Woo! Just got my invite! Was able to download and log in with Twitch with no problems. At first glance, all my characters seem to be there, the one I pulled up looks correct. Love the dark mode.
It looks very nice so far! Information is clearly presented and I think I have everything I'm looking for at the top (though I'll get back after my session tonight!). A couple of requests:
Clicking on spells to get the spell text - I expect this kind of thing is planned, but it surprised me that it wasn't there on read-only version. Same for equipment, gold etc - stuff that I get info on when I click online.
Character search - I have too many that not being able to ctrl-F for them is a big slow down.
I'm quite excited for this - a lot of my friends have had problems with the page needing to re-load when using online versions on mobile, and I'm hoping a distinct app will solve that.
I noticed the spells in the spell list don't appear as blue if they're listed as a higher level than the original spell (upcasting). The change in colour that the site uses, makes the spell list a bit more organizable
I just downloaded the testing app and so far I really like what I see. It looks very appealing and it was also running quite smoothly.
There are some features I would like to see on the app, and these options may already be in the works. This goes for both online and in app honestly..
From the character menu, it would be wonderful if there is a filter or sorting option. I keep quite a number of characters from different campaigns that I play in and I would love to see some way of sorting them. The 3 options that would be useful to me would be to choose either most recently created or most recently used along with having some form of connecting them to a campaign and sorting them that way.
I would like to be able to have the option to delete characters from the character menu.
I know that with the coming updates so much of this will change. Thank you for all the hard work that is going in to this and I'm excited to play my next game with it!
Just got the notification that I could participate and already got to testing :D I'm using the App on a Pixel 3 XL. So here in "short" what I've noticed so far:
The app is great! I love the dark color scheme, huge fan of dark mode. Very easy to read. On the overview page of my characters I noticed that my custom avatar/portrait were kinda squeezed into frame. The others look great!
I actually took a look at the policy/ terms of use/support pages. The performance is great, almost no loading time.
Then I got to the character pages: the dropdown menus for conditions etc. work great, though the boxes to check are rather small. If the height of the options was taller and the checkbox bigger, that would be a great improvement, especially for people with physical disabilities.
I also noticed a small icon next to the hit points box. I guess it's for short/long rests since it looks like a little sunrise, but thus far the only thing it does is turn blue :D Speaking of which, the HP Management works very smooth. Easy to use while in battle.
I haven't found a way to edit my characters currency, I guess this will be added later.
The swiping between the different 'sheets' (abilities, actions, spells, etc.) is very smooth to. I'm actually very impressed with the overall performance of the app. I've expected way worse from an alpha version.
Then I tried creating a new character: this is the first time the app took some seconds to load the page. It worked basically like in the browser version for mobile devices.
When selecting the sources in the character preferences the red switches were very tiny. Other than that, the pop up menu for selecting the other preferences like advancement type etc. were great. They have a good size and contrast to the background.
To proceed in the character creation there are two buttons at the bottom: prev and next. They work fine, though proceeding through the pages via swiping would imo be more intuitive. Also, when I selected the Details Page of the Race I chose, those buttons vanished and to get back I pressed the arrow on top and I landed back in the overview page of all my characters. I repeated the same process but pressed the 'back' button on my phone and got the same result, so adding a way to get back to character creation would be fantastic.
Selecting racial traits works great. The Boxes have a comfortable size. Same thing with choosing class skills etc.
Navigating through the marketplace works great btw., though again, when trying to get back to character creation, I land on the overview page.
Adding and removing spells to the characters works just fine, though again the buttons are really tiny and I found myself accidentaly opening and closing the details of the spell instead of adding them to my learned spells.
While adding ability scores I noticed, that with the manual input my regular phone keyboard opens and not the numerical one. I'm not sure if that's on purpose since there's no need to add letters to your ability scores :D The override score boxes open the numerical keyboard.
And that's it already :D That's the things I noticed thus far. Overall I think it's a really great app and it works really well. There's just a thing or two that imo need to be adressed but that's what alpha testing is for :D
Just got the app and it looks great! I love being able to swipe between the different screens. I apologize if this has been mentioned as I don't have time to read through all the pages of feedback already generated. When I look at my character Spark, under Senses it lists Darkvision 60ft, Passive Perception 5ft. The darkvision is the same as listed on site but I have never seen a passive perception listed with a range for it.
I also noticed a small icon next to the hit points box. I guess it's for short/long rests since it looks like a little sunrise, but thus far the only thing it does is turn blue :D
I believe this symbol is used to represent having DM Inspiration. It's the same symbol available on the online character sheet.
Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but since the website character sheet has a virtual die roller, I would love to see if in the app as well. That die roller is a game changer for me personally.
Just got the invite now, and I love the app! It's quite easy to use and intuitive to navigate. I see you took some of the earlier feedback to add swiping navigation and it works great.
My initial feedback for things I'd like to see are as follows:
Having ability scores on top of modifiers. I always prefer the larger number up top :)
Under the Actions panel, have an option to toggle between just seeing Actions, Bonus Actions, Reactions, and Other - just like on the site. I find this is incredibly helpful for new players, where you can ask "do you have any bonus actions?" and they can just select that to see what they have without seeing the whole list of every possible action.
I imagine you'll be adding the check-box function on limit use abilities/spells soon, but I would love it if things that had multiple uses (like Ki points) stayed as individual boxes even at high numbers. I find it easier to tap a couple boxes to mark off used Ki rather than hit a plus or minus symbol a few times. I also really love the visual cue of seeing boxes filled in or empty as it's easier to tell how much of a resource you have left at a glance. I'd even love this as an option on the main site. If that is something you'd rather not do, for high use things like Ki points, it would at least be cool to have a visual "health bar" showing how much percent of that resource you've used next to the number (ex: 6/12 Ki and then a bar beside halfway filled).
I second the suggestion of having Spell Attack, DC, and Modifier be headers that stay at the top as you scroll down your spell list.
Toggling movement speed would be nice too - to switch between Fly, Swim, etc.
It would be cool to see a little A or D for skills that have Advantage or Disadvantage due to gear (ex: Stealth due to Boots of Elven Kind or Heavy Plate armor). I realize this is a very recent addition the website but it's super helpful and would be cool to see here too :)
Minor bug - if you have 3 failed death saves a prompt pops up saying "restore life with full hp" which works in the HP management screen, but when you X out of it, the HP display at the top of the sheet still shows Death Saves (with none filled in). This was while in offline mode - once I reconnected to the internet it updated back to full health.
Exhaustion is still grayed out and not accessible - although conditions are (this is while online).
Minor bug - while testing offline conditions I see they are disabled, however once I reconnect online and they become available I still see a prompt at the top of the sheet saying "You are offline". This seems to be a bug as I'm clearly online since I can now edit conditions and access the website through the app. Refreshing the page doesn't make the prompt disappear either. Tried replicating the issue after re-booting the app but it didn't show again.
Overall I love it and can't wait to see it improve as you guys work. Thanks guys! :)
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but when redirecting to the site for character creation I noticed that when selecting personality traits there is no way to go back. When I use the Android method of going back it returns to the app. I need to use the drop down select characters and then edit... Way too many steps!

This is certainly not something that should be happening. Is it happening for all of your characters?

I am also unable to edit exhaustion, even when on wifi (but I can check and uncheck conditions). I've tried multiple characters.

Thank you very much for your feedback!
Is having a light theme option on the accessibility list? Because for some of us that's a huge accessibility issue...

We've stopped this OGL madness, but stay vigilant, they tried it once, they can try it again.

Received the invitation.
Was able to download the Android app without any issues using the link and was able to login using my Twitch account.
Dark theme is very nice and being able to swipe sideways is great.
All the custom created content is displayed correctly as well as all the other stats. Hope to be able to see spell details soon.
In the long run I wouldn't mind some frame colour options.
All in all keep up the good work, it's looking good.
Cheers John

Not really as an accessibility issue but you are making a good point.
Light theme is being considered. What's you are saying is a strong argument.
