I decided to try this again and yes, for some reason the mobile app (android if it matters) remembers what classes you were and decides to display them. Made a level 1 bard and added levels of other classes, then went back and removed those levels. In the app they are still listed as members of the other classes while still being only level 1
I'm not even able to use the app. When I open the app, I'm prompted to log in with Google or Twitch. When I opt for Twitch (which is how I use this site in general), I log in and then have to authenticate with Twitch. When I do, it takes me to the mobile web version of Twitch with the app's "authenticate" toolbar across the top, with no option to go back into the app. When I back out and close the app to attempt to log back in, I'm once again prompted to log back in via Twitch then once again reauthenticate the login through Twitch. Rinse and repeat in a continuous cycle.
So, more of a little bug but as someone who uses character portraits with transparencies, I've noticed that the photos will (seemingly at random sometimes) load the default silhouette image behind my photos.
I thought this was just be on times it didn't load quick enough , but even clicking in and out of my character sheets changes back and fourth with what I see. (if that's made any sense)
I attempted to test the program out on my ipad, yet my ipad is incompatible. ios 6 is too archaic it seems. So I went to try it on my android tablet but my invitation only applied to one device, oddly.
So far I see no benefit to using the software instead of a pdf we can export and use with any app that edits pdfs.
I've got a character showing a second class, which is fairly mysterious:
No idea why. I don't think I've even ever played around with giving him barbarian levels. Only seems to show here, not in character details. So, not important but curious.
It'd be nice to have a way to look at other folks' characters from a campaign. I can see this being handy for when you need to look at the sheet of someone who missed a game.
Just got into the early access and when looking at one of my characters it looks like the AC isn't properly updated on the app. My Tortle (Natural Armor of 17) with a ring of protection and a +1 shield equipped should have an AC of 21 but in the app shows 18. So it looks like it is counting the ring plus natural amor but not the shield. The shield is equipped on my character on my sheet on the site.
Hi all! I love the look and feel of this so far; I'll try using it in a game next week, but will scroll through a bunch of my characters in the meantime (I have way too many).
I did have some minor issues with authentication. I didn't see anywhere a notice about logging in with Apple authentication, so I thought I'd try that first (my Apple ID email matches my Twitch and D&D Beyond emails), and it authenticated perfectly - but created a new account, rather than recognising I already had an account with this email address. Might be worth giving a heads up about that, like a notification in the app or something? I'm not sure if that will cause me issues associating my Apple ID with my actual account later on? Also preferred process would be to be prompted to associate with existing account in the app, if that's possible. Though of course I realise this might be a quirk of Alpha release and authentication not being fully integrated yet!
When I logged out and authenticated via Twitch, I had the same issue reported by others - initial Twitch authentication worked but just took me to Twitch web site in the in-app browser, had to attempt it a second time to get it to authenticate and log me in. Can now see all my characters though!
For reference, I'm on an older iPhone 6s, running almost the current OS, iOS 13.3.1. (I'll be updated to 13.4.1 shortly.)
This is a great start to something that is going to be amazing! A few things I'd like to see:
1) Collapsing segments. On the Actions page have a list of Actions, Bonus Action, Reactions, Other. When you click on one it expands that particular list. Maybe the same idea could be applied to the spell list. I'd like to see a list of each spell level and when I click on 3rd level spells it expands to show me all my 3rd level spells.
2) Homebrew synergy. I have a homebrew item in my inventory that grants access to spells I wouldn't normally have access to. They do not appear correctly in the spell list. In the app it only shows the name of the item instead of the spell it provides.
Thank you for everything you do! You make playing D&D so easy I've got my family hooked!

I just checked and it auto pulled my Twitch login and I'm successfully in! Thanks for the post, can't wait to test it out :)

I've checked & rechecked all folders, nothing as of yet.

I've just resent you the invite. Please check now.
Got it, Thank you!
Are virtual dice also going to be on the app at a later time?
Be good. Never be cruel; never be cowardly. Never give up; never give in. Always try to be nice, and never fail to be kind.

Thank you for your feedback.
Answering certain questions:
1. 3D dice - we are considering it.
2. Characters showing multiple classes selected and removed in the process of building a character - it is a bug and we are working on a fix.

Are invites still being sent? I hit all three criteria, but I haven't seen an invite yet. I would love to test this.
I signed up but i haven't received an invite yet?

I also encountered the Twitch verification issue. An older iPhone 6 Plus currently on iOS 12.4.5 (sadly not eligible to go to iOS 13)
Please take a look at my homebrewed Spells, Magic Items, and Subclasses. Any feedback appreciated.
Invites are still being sent. We needed to slow down for a moment but we are going to continue throughout next week.
I think you must link your account for it to recognise that different authentication methods should relate to the same account.
You can do it through Profile > My account on the web.
I did think of this before I tried, but when I looked I didn't see an Apple account option?
