I was hoping this would be in the book, but I did not see it during my first read through. Can PCs be pulled into the Mists from the Material Plane, say Faerun, and then into a Domain?
I mean, as DM, it IS possible, but is it really off the wall? Or can it happen 'normally'?
[EDIT] OK - reading comprehension is important. Yep it can happen. Not really detailed, but that is fine by me.
I was also waiting on this. I was really looking forward to it too, the gothic artwork showcased in the book is absolutely phenomenal. That being said, the stuff from the preorder alone was quite lovely, I especially like the one with the cracked mirror and the blue tiefling girl, and the watercolor one with Strahd and the ravens and bladed wheels.

It's ok Ranger, you'll always be cool to me.. Unless druid gets another use for its wild shape charges.
UPDATE: On the app at the top there is link that allows you to update your books. Most apps usually will do that for you in this case there is an extra step. It is now time to read and have fun!
Thanks for that post I missed it as on my phone the update section was on the extreme right almost off the screen. for my Galaxy S20 ultra 5G
Disappointed to say the least, seriously watered down and overly PC. Barely qualifies as "gothic horror."
I mean....a vast majority of the domains listed in the book aren't gothic horror by design. They go out of their way to state several different types of horror and their tropes and then have numerous domains that are meant to emulate those types of horror. I also didn't come across anything I would say is "overly PC."

Felt that way to me. Especially the Vistani. I will still run Raveloft, but will use very little out of this book. Probably should have read this more in depth before purchasing it, or I would have just skipped it. I mean, the Vistani are a "lifestyle" choice now? Wow
I don’t know if this was intentional, but did anyone catch these two Disney references in the book? Under the section on curses and their resolutions are two that definitely make me think the writers had some Disney franchises in mind when they wrote them:
Returning every piece of a stolen treasure hoard, down to the last copper coin, to the place where it once rested (Pirates of the Caribbean)
Accomplishing a seemingly impossible task, such as raising a castle above the clouds (Gargoyles)
I’m not quite done with the book, but I’ve enjoyed it so far. I wish they have fleshed out some of the quick blurb domains a bit more with suggestions for adventure hooks and a suggested monster stat to use for the Darklord.

Any updates on the character sheet backdrops? 6 have been available for about a week now, but the other 9 are not there yet.
