So I want to run a campaign that is a battle royale-esk, like PUBG or The Hunger Games but uses some DND rules/elements. If it can also be a one-shot, that would be great. And If anyone has a link to a reference document of some kind, that would be greater. Thanks :3
Some mechanics change if you are going Hunger Games vs PUBG.
For example Hunger Games, much fewer people, so it plays better for the Battle Royal with D&D 5e mechanics.
However, PUBG is a much larger amount of foes, so you may have to tweak things like short rest so your players don't burn every skill by the third encounter.
If you are doing this, all encounters should feel more deadly (at least in my opinion, it would be teams that are top of their game).
This has been something I have been playing around with for a while.
Also if you go the PUBG route, you should include something like the cannon from Hunger Games, its a good way to kill off quite a few people but still make the battle feel epic.

Do you also mean that it will include a very large number of PC's? Or just that the regular sized group of PC's are part of the large battle royale?
I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
