A normal greatsword wielded by a creature of size large or larger would be treated by it as either a longsword or perhaps a 'hand-and-a-half' sword rather than a greatsword, though it would deal a greatwsword's damage to a medium sized creature.
Do you mean in this edition?
No. We were talking about the fullblade from 3e and how it worked at the time. Specifically, at least from whoever was running the group I was in at the time if not the from raw/rai perspective; that a medium sized creature could not really use it successfully without several feats in play to facilitate it's use, because it was otherwise too big. It was treated literally as the equivalent at least of a greatsword to a large creature, and therefore to a medium creature as 1 size-step above that of greatsword. 6LG disagrees that the weapon is sized for medium creatures after all. I'm not sure I still even own the book necessary to go and look it up for sure anymore or where it is if I do, so I will take 6LYG's word for it.
