The books being spaced makes perfect sense logistically. It really wouldn't work out well trying to release them simultaneously.
Refusing to release a finished product on DDB that's ready to go makes less sense.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
I’m sure if they could release it, they would, but I think the issue comes down to logistics. They will print 10’s of thousands of books, probably 100’s of thousands (and as there are fewer and fewer printing houses, this gets harder and harder to do.). Then ship them all over the world, give bookstores time to unpack them, etc. Many parts of that timetable are issues which are out of their hands. Be patient. It’s only a month. You’ll wait longer for more critical things in your life, I’ll wager.
Gen Con books are basic marketing. It rewards people who engage time and $$ in the hobby, creates thirst amongst the rest of us, and lets a small group start to share out what's in the printed book.
Which will all be positioned to drive interest and sales.

Exactly this. Other RPG publishers, and especially board game publishers, have used GenCon, Essen Spiel and Origins for the exact same reason. It starts driving excitement and interest.
Since 2024 PHB is now available with the Early Sale at GenCon, shouldn't the digital early access also start after the convention?
I donno why we have to wait so long it seems odd to release each core book for 5.5 like 3 months apart every book

They don't want to release digital so much ahead of print, because it'll eat print sales.
Also, it's probably not fully ready on DDB. Something this big is going to need a lot of development and testing.

I would love to get it earlier too but at the end of the day, it is what it is. After 3 years of waiting, one more month won't kill me... much 😛
