I was super disappointed there was no code. Guess we have to wait until ECCC next month since they did a PAX code. Boo!
You don't NEED to wait... what you purchase and pay now .. will be credited to your D&D Legendary bundle with nothing lost in the translation of money, so teh lenedary bundle for me was 25$ after i grabbed all things with the old 25%. This is a absolute. What you want to spend is perfect;y valid be 100$, 400$ or just 30$ it will all come off the price of the Legendary bundle.
If you are looking to buy all content in one order at the lowest available price (that is, the highest typical discount) do it the way I did it. You do not need to wait for a Legendary Bundle discount. Build your own danged bundle in an order and apply the current code. It will discount them all at that discount rate. Et voila' = Legendary Bundle at 25% off list. Done.
And, if you wish, you can leave those books out you don't necessary want. The system will remember what you ordered and allow you to grab those later at the Legendary Bundle rate - or you can await another discount code and order them at that time. Nothing lost, everything gained.
The LB is already discounted off list at 10%. If you buy it at that price you are leaving 15% additional discount on the table. Foolish, I say. Do it my way and get the LB at the 25% off list now.

But you also lose out on a discount on all future purchases for not having bought the actual LB.

don't forget that they have put out coupon codes that are good for the legendary bundle which means your aren't letting 15% on the table.
sure buy the books as you can afford them but if you get to a point where you can afford the legendary then wait for a code that works then and get even further of a discount.

Not clear what you are referring to. I can get 25% with regular discounts across the entire content line. I get, currently, 10% with the LB discount. When a LB discount was given, it was simply taking it to the 25% level, as I understood it. No more than I can get with normal discount codes (when they activate them).
My point was: If you want to buy the LB now, you get 10%. If you simply pull all the books into your own "bundle" and apply discount code, you get 25%. DDB offers both. There are those buying LB at 10% off when they can buy entire portfolio at 25% off - thus, leaving 15% on the table if buying the LB thinking you are getting a deal.
Waiting on an LB bundle appears to be a fool's errand from what I have been reading.
if all it did was take you to the 25% bundle there would be absolutely no point in even having those coupons as it wouldn't be any better a deal then buying all of them individually at the 25% off. it would have made way more sense if the bundle price was discounted an additional 25%.

I totally agree. It was certainly curious that was not the case. Their business decision, as goofy as it seems to us.
i am kinda new to D&D but so far i like it very much. i also understand why it is logical to pay for the work the creators put into d&d and dndbeyond.
i wanted to buy the players handbook but sadly i am a student and usually - more or less - broke :S
is there an actual code that i can apply to save some money? i am willing to pay but 30 bucks is a lot of money for me at the moment...
apologies if this isnt the right place to write/ask this.
thanks in advance and happy adventuring everyone.
this is the thread to watch for codes, people are posting them when the find out about them. I too always wait for a coupon to buy, the US to CAD isn't great so it makes it even more expensive for me which is why I will wait for a code.
The product is great and I would get the PHB at the start then work your way up from there. Also you can pick pieces out of other books, for example I bought Goblin from Volo's and Minotaur from the Magic the gather setting, now both those books are discounted by how much the races cost so they don't still charge full price if you buy a portion of the book.
Another thing you could do is only buy the options you need to start, so if your playing a specific character class/race combo buy those only and slowly go up from there and when a code comes out apply it to full purchase of the PHB which will have been discounted.

Nothing unfortunately, usually they announce before they start. I’m hoping they do something, but probably not 😐
No love for us this Valentine's Day, heh.
Sad day. Cupid must have rolled too low against the D&D Beyond team.

Maybe they are more fans of Presidents Day than Valentines day. (semi-kidding) 😉
"VDnD Beyond Day" - I think they missed an opportunity.. lol
I'm not sure it'd be good business to have something called "VDnD Beyond Day".

I see that there has been past 25% LB coupons so I still fail to see how that is losing money.

from what I'm reading around it seems the discounts should be stacking on top of the bundle, oh and the discount is 15% not 10%.
no one would care about a legendary code if there wasn't some sort of extra value to it.
you should question it or go Back and figure out the math to make sure.

No rush here. I'll wait for the discount so I can get the extra 15% off future purchases
