I'd like to express my appreciation for the update too. It's exactly what I expected, given the earlier update, but I keep checking in frequently to make sure I don't miss it, and even just a small update like this can ease the tension of waiting - at least a little.
Could be worse, it could be running on Valve Time.
It'll be ready when it's ready :)

TO BE FAIR, I'm a big fan of the Soon(TM) metric and the only reason I didn't say it above was because I was too lazy to copy the tiny trademark symbol. :P

Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the WotC and D&D Beyond teams—especially LaTia Jacquise who took the time to engage with us throughout this thread.
The announcement that SRD 5.2 will be released under Creative Commons on April 22 is exactly the kind of clear, timely communication that third-party creators have been hoping for. This gives us a concrete date we can plan around and finally allows us to move forward with confidence as we begin working with the 2024 ruleset.
I also want to thank the other community members who participated in this discussion respectfully and persistently. This thread has shown that polite advocacy and transparency can go hand in hand—and that when the community asks for clarity, it's not about being impatient or adversarial, it's about wanting to build alongside the official game in a way that's informed, fair, and aligned.
Really looking forward to releasing my product when the SRD 5.2 drops. Thanks again to everyone who helped make this happen.
