Hey quick question -- I'm playing around with the 2.0 release (and wow you've been busy!! well done you as always). Is there a trick to getting the dndbeyond dice-roller to send the roll to roll20 VTT? I have the "Use digital dice" option turned on in both the quick options on dndbeyond and the Chrome add-on options, but when I return to a dndbeyond character sheet and click to roll a *skill* or other one-click thing it won't send the result to the VTT.
Note, it still works completely fine as it did before (clicking the skill or attack and then the "beyond20" button correctly generates a roll on the VTT), but now works that way even with the digital dice turned on on the dndbeyond character sheets -- so in terms of restoring basic functionality this update was perfection, and for that I am very grateful.
how easy would it be to add another monster dbase? I use a lot of kobold press stuff and sorely missed the integration of dndbeyond. If its as simple as adding a bit of code (im sure its not!) I would love to see something like that. Until then, I'll be adding all my 3rd party products to homebrew!

All the best to you and yours, and many thanks!
Its probably easier if you join the discord server and ask over there since there is bound to be a little back and forth Q&A to get to the bottom of that. Its working for me so there may be some specfic issue for you. https://discord.gg/DVJDxU
Played last night using 2.0 and Roll20. Some nice improvements there - wow!
We did find one glitch - even with your token selected, initiative rolls will show up on the chat log but are not added to combat tracker automatically. The DM had to do it manually for everyone.

That's because you have to select your own character token when doing the initiative roll

Yes, I know. Been using this for weeks. If you have the new Digital Dice integration selected, it no longer works, whether you subject your token or not. That was the case for all 7 of us, not just me.
Played last night with the new update, and one thing that I really enjoyed is when I discovered I could display the images of the creatures easily! I had a macro to just copy and paste the address of where it is, but this was much better.
I didn't check the whole site, but I'm wondering if all images will have that option. I will go explore today!

i wan't to start off by saying, you are amazing!!!!
Question 1: I use discord for my games and i have your bot in my channel, i can have monsters roll initiative and players but is there any way to save that info and list it in the channel? with rounds?
Question 2: With the D&D beyond combat tracker will you have it where i could just copy the initiative to discord with a click of a button?
I use Avrae init tracker right now and it helps with the !init join and !init list but having to add the monsters in 1 by 1. if when i click initiative in Beyond in the monster manual it would be awesome if it saved it into discord similar to Avrae.
Again just some ideas but you have created something totally incredible!
Answer 1: No. Beyond20 only rolls the info from the D&D Beyond page, it doesn't have any sort of initiative tracking or any of the features that you would usually get from a VTT.
Answer 2: Nope, because there is no reason for that.
I haven't tried Avrae (maybe I should at some point), but that's an actual bot that does stuff. The Beyond20 bot does nothing other than give you the secret key to a channel and display the rolls as they were rolled in D&D Beyond. It has basically no logic inside of it. I don't plan on making it into anything more than that.
All looking good with the new update but when playing this evening a few of us tried to roll Hit Dice on a short rest using the Roll Hit Die button in the short rest window and nothing happened for any of us - is this a bug, or are we doing something wrong?
[edit with more info] Investigating further, it seems it does work if the Roll20 character sheet template is NOT set to D&D 5e (i.e. the HD rolls do appear in the VTT), but if it IS set to D&D 5e then the rolls are not made in Roll20

Known issue, Will fix it for the next release (soon)
Assuming you mean encounter builder, it works great. It's what I use as a DM. You can quickly switch between monsters and roll from the encounter builder.
Meant the Combat Tracker which is in beta rn. (You need a subscription to access it so I haven't tried it yet)
You can roll from the Combat Tracker into roll20 as well but I don't see a point in doing that. If you are already using roll20 it's going to be better at tracking combat at least for now anyway.

Also I think Curse / dndbeyond / Fandom should just up and hire you already given your familiarity with Dndbeyond at this point :D

This would be more of a DnDBeyond feature for us to buy 3rd party material such as the creature codex.
This is what I do. I add mosnters to homebrew as I need them. I am getting pretty quick with it, takes about 5 mins.

The extension is a thing of beauty, that is for certain.
Anyone know if there are plans to "pretty up" the new digital dice result rolled display in the VTT?
OMG, I forgot the link, 5esrd.com has a similar database to dndbeyond.

Looks like this has already been reported and will be fixed https://github.com/kakaroto/Beyond20/issues/341

I'm having a great time using this as a player, but how well does this work with the encounter tracker if I want to use this as a DM?
