People have already made great points about finding other games, talking to the DM and/or talking to the owners/employees at your LGS. I'm just curious, are you not supposed to be playing D&D at all? I will second (or third or whatever) that you could play by post here on the forums just as you created/posted here, unless you're also not supposed to be on this site and you're concerned about being caught.
Have you tried to DM? Form a group, make friends. Easy way to make things happen. Use your social web to invite people. Believe me, you could be surprised!
Talk to the DM with your concerns. Some DMs and Players are used to humor in gaming and often times when gamers are nervous sometimes they amp up the humor. We have many DMs in our group but one of them always wants to run a semi-serious game but when he starts DMing he often falls into a childish voice and starts cracking jokes. I believe this is due to nervousness.
