I'm trying to create a magic item from an adventure I'm running but can't find anyway to replicate it in D&D Beyond.
It is a magic meat cleaver. It gives +1 to melee attacks but +2 to damage.
It seems I can only give a magic bonus that affects both to hit and damage. There does not appear to be anyway to apply separate and different to-hit and damage bonuses.
If I'm wrong, please explain how to accomplish this.

You can do damage - slashing fixed value: 1.
That technically does what you want, but the bonus damage doesn't get added to the weapon damage, it is displayed in the item details only.
Since this sounds like it's only going to be used for your own campaign, another way to do this is to:
Now the correct attack value and damage value will be calculated and displayed everywhere.
Brilliant! Thanks, that did the trick.
