The Dungeon Master is not just the storyteller, but the adjudicator of rules, judge of outcomes, and finally moderator of the group's behaviors.
She acknowledges they are being rude, so she obviously sees it happening. As DM it is her responsibility to address it and quash it. Failure to do so is failing in her responsibilities as a DM. She might not *want* to do it for reasons, such as not being comfortable having to be firm on the issue, but that is part of her job now.
As the DM is the only one who holds the other 3 powers, that is what allows the DM to properly enforce their power as moderator.
