Demon made a mockery of my character a couple months back and he didn't take it well. He is thinking about revenge but has nothing really in his arsenal for dealing with it.
It's worth noting this demon can bend reality in his lair, taking away all of our equipment last time we were there (my dude is pretty hard headed and tried to fight him anyway, as he had an item we needed for a quest and wanted someone's soul in exchange, and talking was going nowhere).
So I'm not sure what to pack but none of our party has anything anti-demon in their arsenal. It's worth noting the fighter ended up selling his soul for the item we needed, and is 3 levels deep in Warlock now.
Our normal party is myself (goliath barbarian/paladin) and one other (warforged druid), sometimes the fighter (now a wood elf fighter/warlock) I mentioned before, and every once in a while some characters from a joint campaign that I DM drop in.
Based on the fact that your DM created rules to remove weapons, and now one of thes PCs is a warlock for this demon, I would guess that it was a plot device to explain your fellow player going multiclass to warlock. In other words, that demon is probably unkillable because of plot reasons.
That's what I thought at first, but I asked the player and he said he only went Warlock for chain pact so he could summon one of the demons quassits as a familiar (He made a friend while we were wandering the demons mansion)
We met a small herd of Armanites and my Rogue failed two death saves before our cleric got to her. I'd love some suggestions for magic items or weapons she could be searching for before we meet up with them again, if anyone has any.
As you can see below there is quite allot and you can make some interesting stories with them. A holy avenger may be the sword of a celestial, a mace of disruption could be made of the bones of saint, you could study the demon to construct a special prison for it in the form of an iron flask. There are also strategies like finding their true name or swearing a magical oath to defeat them.
There are holy weapons which do additional damage to fiends like:
The Sun Blade is another good weapon for demon-hunting. Better against undead, but a weapon that deals radiant damage and is a finesse weapon is great for a rogue.

While it didn't mechanically carry over to 5th edition, weapons forged of cold iron bypassed the damage resistance and non-magical immunities of Demons (And Fey) in earlier rulesets. Cold Iron weapons would be relatively easier to find than some of the unique, legendary or rare magical items people are listing. Significantly cheaper, too, for the fiendslayer on a budget.
Another option is to talk to your DM about a homebrewed weapon created with the homebrew tools here. I would modify a Dragonslayer into a demon slayer and maybe give it some resistance to demonic spells.
There's also the reliable old standard: holy water.
It works...but incredibly expensive for what it does. 25gp and a 1st level spell slot for...2d6 Radiant. Ouch.

Silvered weapons, per older editions, were for devils, shapechangers (Not just lycanthropes) and vampires, overcoming most resistances or immunities. The old Planescape sourcebooks made fun of adventurers getting their fiends mixed up, bringing the wrong tools and predictably being shuffled off to their respective afterlives.
Naturally, though, what's true of one setting or game may not be for all. As always, check with your DM.
So I created just a couple of simple items to help for my homebrew Halloween adventure. These are just two items that can cast some of the aforementioned spells.
And a one use Ring of Magic Circle that you can use to conjure Magic Circle, again only for fiends.
These were left over objects from a long dead sorceress who failed to control a demon and unleashed it upon her household, and thus the source of the haunted house Halloween adventure.
The nice thing about Holy Water is that it stacks with your ability modifier if you take the tavern brawler feat. So now it's an improvised weapon and because it doesn't have the "Thrown" modifier it uses DEX and your proficiency bonus to attack and 2d6+Dex Mod holy damage. Pretty neat.
Though you could probably convince your DM to let you use STR especially if you are the one designing the flask.
A weapon with the correct BANE property? In this case, Demon Bane, since Devil Bane would not work for you as they are different and mortal enemies. Or a quest to find out what Devil is the Demon's enemy and summon that Devil.
