Given that spell slots from different sources don't stuck additively, the design seems pretty straightforward.
if the resource stacks it is only usable in the specific context of the source class.
if it does not it can be used by whatever mechanic utilises said resource, regardless of source.
the naming is to blame for any confusion. its a bad habit to name similar features with the same name and not have them be unique or quasi- unique like spellslots & proficiency bonuses.
They've announced that the Psi Warrior and Soul Knife will be in the 2024 PHB, and that all of the Tasha's subclasses that are going to be in that book may have some tweaks to them, so maybe they'll be cleaning up this particular issue.
