that sounds great! I'll work on getting some groups moving in the right direction. I tried DMing and it was fun but I'm a lazy bas tard and had trouble finding time to put adventures together. I have decided not to commit to DMing, just playing for myself.

Looks like I'll probably have to DM but I'm ok with that since I already homebrewed a campaign that can last a while already 90% done. Just know I haven't done much DMing so please be patient with me as I try and describe things.
Also a meet and greet is a good idea, I could do zoom, but discord is my preferred platform for that.
I've never done Google Meet before. I'll check it out and see if we can't do a meet and greet Mon or Tues night of next week. Make sure I have your e-mail addresses so I can get out an invite and a meeting link. So I'm messing around with Discord and have set up a server to at least have a face to face video chat next week. I like Discord because its free and pretty simple to use. The quality isn't as good as zoom so we can do something else later.

I want to try to group players w available DMs and then let those groups do whatever they want. I'll keep the discord server open as "The Tavern" we can all meet at between adventures. Switch up groups if desired or whatever.

On Tues June 8, 9pm central, I'm trying to get anyone interested for a quick video chat meet and greet on the discord server. At that time we can initially connect players to DMs and they can take it from there in whatever way they want because it will be "their" group.
Is it too late to toss my hat into the ring? I'm a retired grandparent who got back into playing D&D about 5 months ago. Before then, I had not played since the late 70's into the early 80's. I'm a daily caregiver to my grandson & would love to find weekday game (or 2). I'd be available when needed & extremely reliable! No matter you choice, I wish you all great adventures!!! I have many different character ideas to fit whatever game motif you may be looking for like serious or more tongue in cheek. I am 28 with 2 kids so I would be a steady player, but small interruptions may happen for me from time to time. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I'm new to tabletop games and I've been trying to find a playgroup. I live on the east coast and I typically work midshift so I'm free pretty much anytime after 11pm throughout the week but not until 12am on weekends.

google meet is free and has no time limit (Zoom has a 45 minute limit).
