Just a DM looking to run a game for some folk online

I have myself and another that are interested. I'm pretty experienced, but they are very new. Did you ever decide on a time and day for the sessions? Because we are restricted to weekends only. Also are you ok with having a very new player?

In short, if you are looking for an entertaining game from an experienced DM who wants to set up a long lasting campaign, then I might have the post for you. If you’re interested please just drop some info below. Who you are, what pronoun you prefer, any experience you have with D&D (none necessary and I won’t judge based on it), and a character idea you have (this can be as a little as a name and a weapon).

Alex, a thirty (cough... cough) six year old male.  He-him.  I have experience with a goodly number of games.  Having played a lot of them.  But most of them actually fizzle out before completion so here is looking towards a long term game that ends!  Not just dies.  :D

As for a character I would like to play I have a few in my mind.  My current favorite is Kenri, the Kenku warlock.  The joke is generally that Warlocks sell their soul for a 1d10 cantrip.  Well Kenri actually did eagerly complete the ritual that gave him his power.  Not for any personal power.  But instead he followed a ritual that ties him to a Great Old One, because it gives him telepathy.  Breaking, in a round about way, the curse that prevents Kenku from speaking.  He is currently adventuring because the book he found the ritual in warned that going insane was a possibility and he wants to be far away from his loved ones while he figures out what, exactly, the costs are. If there are none... well he goes back and signs up every one he knows.

Hello and greetings. I'm a fairly new player within the D&D universe, as I played a couple of months with a troublesome group. I'm 26 from France (I believe it's UTC+2), pronouns is he/him. I'm in love with how Matt Mercer manage the story telling aspect of his games during both seasons of Critical Role, how the PCs interact within both the group and the world they are exploring ; I'm looking forward to join a group with such dynamics. I do not mind a couple of sessions only centered around role playing and exploration, without the shadow of a fight.

Character wise, I have 2 characters I made for my previous group, therefor they both are ready to be played, except for the backstory : 
- A Male Pallid Elf druid, lost everything he cared for and was forcefully set on a path to stop a natural disaster to happen, with little informations on his quest. Giving him the time he need, he will eventually overcome his introvert personality and the trust issues.

- A former Male Tiefling fighter (Gunslinger subclass), his world got flipped upside down after he died, and became a "Reborn" stuck within a Female Water Genasi. He tries to regroup with his lost friend. A big talker with little seriousness when in the face of danger.

Hi there, I wanted to drop a reply in case you're still looking for players!

My name is Fie (she/her) and I'm 20 years old. I just finished a preliminary art degree and currently don't have too much to do (whoo). I've been playing DnD 5e regularly on-and-off for about 5 years now, both as a player and DM and occasionally dipping into other game systems like FATE or Monster of the Week. I mostly enjoy RP in these games. Spending lots of time interacting with the other player characters, NPCs, and the world the DM provides - to me this medium of telling stories is collaborative. I do still enjoy combat though.

A very vague character idea that I've been thinking about for is a Way of the Astral Self Monk using the Reborn race from Van Richten's Guide. They rose from the grave with the help of a spiritual being who acts as the "Astral Self", having gifted them a spectral arm to replace the character's missing one when needed in exchange for helping them with something. I imagine this person with lots of contrast - always looking a bit cold and deathly but wearing lots of warm colors and having a kind demeanor about them. They are also very afraid of the sparse and vague memories of their original self, and would be a bit paranoid that someone from back then could recognize them.

Hello, I go by Bucket, im 25 years old. Been looking for another game to do on any day other than sunday. Been playing dnd for about 3 years now. Had a sorcerer idea i wanted to try out as i have yet to play one. 

Hey! Great post :). I'm currently in a party of 5 people total, 4 of whom are pretty inexperienced (Including myself). Two of us are He/They, One of us is She/They, One of us Is She/Her and One of us is He/Him. I and 2 others in the group have never played a game, and the other inexperienced player in our group has only 3 sessions under her belt. The Most experienced player has about 3-4 years of campaigns under his belt. We are in a few different time zones, they are, UTC+4:00, CEST and BST. The youngest in our group is 19 and the oldest is 23.

I can't speak on the character ideas for everyone, One of us wants be Druid with No race specified yet, and I personally am looking to play a Tiefling Rogue as I love scoundrel and anti hero type characters.
