Hey fellow newbie here, also in the GMT'ish timezone (Hard to find people not from the US on this forum) This sounds interesting, i have never played TT DnD, i am very familiar with 3rd edition and older, and a bit with 5th edition through BG3 and Solasta. I would love to get into a real game with real people, to see what it's all about, and to roleplay a bit more than what videogames allow.
Currently messing around with the character builder here on DnDbeyond, so i might have a character if invited, depends how indecisive i am ;)
