Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: any 1 with at least 3 months experience. Age: 18+ Location/Timezone: 15:30 - 20:30 CET 4 hours game time will be a bit flexible. Schedule: Once a week every Saturday. Starting date/lvl: ideally season 0 will be 3 September. Roles sought: Players (3) no specific roles. Game style: 60/40 RP/combat.
Notes: It will be 1 session a week but I'm looking for committed people, so no last second cancel and any 1 who constantly doesn't show up might be dropped. No hard feelings. If you cant show up for a session its okay as long as u communicate it clearly and it doesn't happen frequently.
There will be certain parts of the story where the focus is the story but also other parts where most of the focus while be on the fighting. It really depends mostly on the story and the party choices.
The world and the story will be flexible to suit my players that is why I will be doing interviews to pick the players and characters that fit the world the most.
Synopsis:
The annual of history talks about a bygone time where a yellow warm orb shaded light on the entire world. People used to call it sun. Legends has it that the trees had almost universally green color and the land was abundant with plant and gem for the hunt. Of course those are all legends and stories that no one really believe in anymore. Sky's were painted with a light blue color just like that of the endless sea's. And bread was the cheapest food people ate everywhere. Now none of that exists anymore. The sky is murmured with gray floating clouds that brings hails of rain or storms of snows with them. Food is scare and bread is reserved exclusively for the rich and wealthy. Trees are colored purple and the corps are only to be found in dome like facilities. This is the price the world has to pay. This is our sin.
About the world:
As most of you can guess the world is dark in nature, I tend to put a lot of emphasis to make my world consistent and logical, which can sometimes lead to cretin nuances that might be a turn off for some people, but it can add another layer to the realism of the world. You are allowed to pick any race that can't fly since the world doesn't contain any flying races. Also there are no undead in the world yet, as dark magic isn't known. Also gods don't exist in this world. Priests get their powers from dragons as dragons are the entity's that keep this world running. Multi classing is not allowed as it makes some combinations really overpowered. To keep the balance intact and seeing I only have 1 year of experience i don't want to deal with any multi class shenanigans yet. Home brew is okay as long as its not broken meaning there will be a discussion before we decide about that. So keep that in mind.
Since I gave up on finding a group in real life for the foreseeable future I'm committing to this campaign so it will hopefully be running for a long time. So there will be a screening process and I will try to pick people who have characters that fits the world and a click with.
