-Platforms used: Online, Discord, Roll20 and D&Dbeyond.
-Experience:None Required! Open to all! Welcoming of new players!
-Schedule/Timezone:Tuesday 3 pm PST/PDT
-Information for players: I have been a DM for a long time and have been a professional DM for a year now, this group is some players from a former campaign who are awesome and wish to keep playing, they helped make a form for players joining to fill out so we can get to know you a bit and your play style and experience with D&D when you apply I will send the form (NO email required).
I aim to create an enjoyable experience by weaving a fantastical story with fun people. During gameplay, everyone will have their time in the spotlight. I'm not one to be a rules stickler and prefer the Rule of Cool and having a good time. Our main goal is to have fun, not argue over rules as the rules are a guideline to a good time. To ensure everyone is on the same page, I love having a character creation/0.5 session. This allows us to ask any questions about the game/table rules and then meet the cool new heroes we've created.
-Character creation information: -Hereos start at Level 3 using Point Buy and Starting Equipment with 1 Common Magic Item. You can choose to use or not use the presented racial stats, giving you more freedom to be creative races, you can instead allocate 2 points to one stat and 1 point to another. (This excludes Variant Humans, as they are a variation of Humans.)
-We are using the Exandrian/Critical Role pantheon for world deities to make things simpler and it's a well-designed pantheon but the game still is on the Sword Coast.
-Feel free to use the "Players Handbook, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants (minus backgrounds), Fizban's Treasury of Dragons and Eberron: Rising from the Last War." as I have these on Roll20 for easy character creation under "charactermancer".
-PLEASE NOTE: Each CLASS has ONE archetype that is BANNED from use, This is just for variation and balancing, and we won't be duplicating starting classes. The banned archetypes are: Barbarian: Totem /Bard: Eloquence /Cleric: Twilight /Druid: Shepard /Fighter: Rune Knight /Monk: Open Hand /Paladin: Watcher /Ranger: Gloom Stalker /Rogue: Soulknife /Sorcerer: Wild Magic /Warlock: Hexblade /Wizard: Scribe. We also won't be using any homebrew races or classes, Magic: The Gathering Content, CR content, Spelljammer, Dragonlance, Book of Many Things backgrounds, D&D 24' PHB or Noncore D&D content (materials that aren't in physical books). -Questions: Hit me up here on D&Dbeyond, startplaying, or my discord: axl_is_alex
Hello, I'm Villene (she/her) and I'm one of the players at this game. I can truly attest that Axl is fun to play with. We accept all skill levels and come from all levels of experience ourselves. The game is queer/POC welcoming. As long as you're willing to put in the respect the table deserves, we return that respect. We're working adults who are punctual and have great attendance.
We create interesting and flawed, flushed out characters and love interacting with each other. I love combat and puzzles, but most of all, I love roleplay and weave it into everything we're doing. I enjoy playing a supporting player, regardless of my character type, and want to see YOU shine and highlight your actions and goals before my own. Everyone should be able to have fun at the table and that includes our DM, but no one here has ever tried to Be The Main Character.
We'd love to having someone invested in our game for a long time, wants to make friends, and who shares similar ideals/values. We're not opposed to adult topics or content or even cross-character romance. i think you'd really enjoy playing with us. ^^ Some of us even use physical dice with Axl's permission (I for one have a dice cam for accountability) but many just use DnDB or Roll20. Some people play with cameras on and we use to Stream our games on Twice before life got in the way. Hope to see you apply. (We have a fun little Google form for new players to fill out to help us get to know you when you apply, but by no means does it require or collect your personal email address)
I'm excited to see Waterdeep and enjoy another campaign with a great DM. Having a DM who tells an interesting story with dynamic combat and excellent maps is a delight. Making new friends around a digital tabletop is priceless. I'm still fleshing out the details for my characters backstory. Have we already met before the adventure?
Been playing together for a long while and are all looking forward to seeing you join us for a new campaign wich will bring us to an adventure we have yet to go trough together as a group. do not worry about your skill level we welcome all and are more than ready to assist in whatever way we can as a group to make your experience a good one for all involved.
I've got character ideas for both Magic and Melee classes, so I'll choose my class last based on what's left over. You might get a sexual healing cleric, a circus freak, the little wizard that could, or real bop hoppin' monk. I don't make meme characters but that doesn't mean I don't like them at the table. I look forward to make friends and maybe even romances among my party. We really just want to help you learn DnD and improve any level of skills you have. Please join us!
Edited the post a bit, and I added some contact information if players have any questions for me. I'm still looking for 1 to 3 more players to start Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.
