In the remote foothills of a land untouched by time, an ancient castle looms—once a sanctuary for dark creatures of legend, now a crumbling relic of bygone terror. For centuries, it has housed a dysfunctional, immortal household of vampires, werebeasts, and other eldritch horrors, who have long since lost their edge. Once infamous hunters of the night, they now spend their endless existence bickering over chore rotations, reminiscing about past glories, and debating the best way to handle a modern world that has largely forgotten them.
But that is about to change.
The nearby village, having suffered centuries of fear and torment, has finally had enough. Armed with faith, fire, and a whole lot of misplaced confidence, they march to lay siege to the castle, determined to end its reign of terror once and for all. However, things have not gone as planned—for either side.
As the campaign unfolds, the players—taking on the roles of reclusive, eccentric creatures of the night—must navigate both the siege and the strange modern world beyond their castle. They might attempt to rally old allies, bargain with the villagers, or (begrudgingly) embrace their inner monsters once more. However, a darker force may be at play, manipulating both sides for its own agenda.
Will the residents of the castle reclaim their terrifying legacy? Will they forge an uneasy truce with the villagers? Or will they discover that the true enemy is something far older and more insidious than either side suspected?
Only the shadows know.

Homebrew allowed - Locked Classes: NA. - Stats: Sort it however, just make it add up to 80 - Starting Cash: 100 gold each. - Starting Equipment: Starting equipment, a bunch of odds and ends, mundane and useless magic items. A +1 magic item (must have lore tied into it)

We're looking for committed players interested in a text based server that is currently hosting a campaign called 'Shadows of the Cursed keep' a gothic adventure where a bunch of monsters, bbegs, and misfits who are retired end up living together and having to figure out how to cooperate. The game is still in its infancy, and we're still looking for new players to join. Our group is small, with 3 dms who are willing to put in the time.
8-15 players. Text Based. Uses Owlbear - opt. Avrae.
