Game Time: Wednesdays at 8pm GMT+3 (shifting to GMT+2 in October for daylight savings) Platform: Discord (voice only) + D&D Beyond Maps for characters and combat
I'm gauging interest for a campaign delving into Rappan Athuk - a legendary, punishing megadungeon filled with secrets, horrors, and ancient evils. But this won’t be a simple dungeon crawl. Expect a sandbox experience enriched by other Lost Lands content, including Bard's Gate, surrounding wilderness, Stoneheart Valley, the Border Provinces and side quests that give players real agency over how they explore and survive.
This is a world where choices matter and death is just one mistake away. Character death isn’t just possible - it’s probable. But that’s part of the thrill. If you’re looking for a meaningful challenge that rewards clever thinking, teamwork, and preparation, let me know!
Do you have what it takes to survive the Dungeon of Graves or will your name be just another etched upon the stones outside its gates?
If interested, let me know:
1. What is your experience level with 5e? 2. Have you previously played Rappan Athuk, the Crucible of Freya, Slumbering Tsar, or any other Necromancer Games module? 3. What percentage of roleplay, combat, and puzzles/traps do you prefer? 4. What time zone are you in?
1. What is your experience level with 5e? I have been playing 5e since the beginning, as Player and DM.
2. Have you previously played Rappan Athuk, the Crucible of Freya, Slumbering Tsar, or any other Necromancer Games module? Not in 5e. In 3rd edition I was part of their online forums and was somewhat familiar with their world, as it seemed really interesting. I remember seeing and hearing about these modules and always wanting to get them and play them, but no one I actually played with was interested in leaving Greyhawk and Forgotten Realms. That was, however, over 20 years ago. So I would really like to finally have a shot at playing in their world.
3. What percentage of roleplay, combat, and puzzles/traps do you prefer? I like a good mix of all three, with the lowest being puzzles. I guess I would say 40/40/20
4. What time zone are you in? US Central Time Zone.
Hello. Your proposition sounds very interesting, engaging and... challenging. How much is the "Wednesdays at 8pm" an hard constraint? In September my job schedule may (or may not) change. If that is the case, would it possible to find another weekday?
What is your experience level with 5e? -> In the last two years, I've been DMing a group of friends, all beginners (including myself). We recently switched to the 2024 rules. We play on Discord and AboveVTT.
Have you previously played Rappan Athuk, the Crucible of Freya, Slumbering Tsar, or any other Necromancer Games module? -> First time I hear about it ^_^'
