No one was prepared for that day, or what was to come. When those old Constructs flooded our streets and painted them red we could do nothing but hide. There was no running, where was there to run to? We made this prison for ourselves, little did we know it would be our tomb. As we were killed in the streets our terror was formed into something new. We had always been the city of innovation and we would form our own path out of this apocalypse.

Look towards the rising sun, it may be our last
Hello Viewers of DnD Beyond! I am coming to you looking for players in my short(2ish months) game.
My name is Bard, or Grant, and I have about 8-7 years of dming experience and am wanting to meet some new friends by running this smaller game. If we vibe you'll be super welcome to join me and existing friends in later games we run! I'm 18+ and in college so my schedule gets a little iffy on some days but tuesday night games should be a go, especially while we're still hanging onto the end of summer! But enough about my intro, enjoy the further writings of the Dawn Protocol.
The City Wardsmyth was a titan of technology. Magic harnessed through items were common occurance, scholars studied day and night restlessly trying to find advancement. The one miracle the city could never understand the secrets of was the very foundation it sat upon. An ancient artifice, colossal in size, seating the entire city on it's back. Once some kind of ancient structure, perhaps a city of it's own, is now a buried monolith that spawned our very city. From its core, a core we have never found, it radiates a field of protection. Surrounding all of Wardsmyth is a barrier no one in our age could hope to understand. It keeps Wardsmyth safe, it let us grow strong.
This, the time of peace and innovation for our city, was nothing but a venus flytrap yet to swallow us whole.
The Dawn Protocol has come.
After centuries or more of a complete dormant state the artiface hummed to life, deep inside it's dark catacomb like interior a soft orange glow began to light the interior. Doors once sealed for ages now open when beckoned. Old constructs surface to cause destruction.
And it sealed us in.
The runic symbol that one needed to once pass through the barrier was quickly found to be obsolete. We could not leave, as the constructs began to run rampant through our homes.
Worst of all, in the town square, where we had presumed the outside center of the artifice was located, an old relic began to work once more. A sundial like device, it ticked ever slowly, but ever constant. Fourteen sigils, each glowed after a day had passed. It's been four days of this unending hell, ten more sigils left.
We know not what awaits us at the new dawn.
We dare not think of such a fate.
On Day One, The Structure Hummed to life, old machines began to work once more.
On Day Two, The constructs were released, making home no longer safe.
On Day Three, It was found the Constructs were attracted to magic, antimagic fields were placed in many refugee camps.
On Day Four, Supplies dwindle quickly, Someone will need to get more if this camp will survive. You will need to get more.
This is The Dawn Protocol!
I would love to have each and everyone possible play this game but that is so much more than I can handle. I'm looking for three more players to fill this game, and I have some rules that need to be met for application.

1.) Please be 17+
2.) Do not use old characters, concepts are fine but I don't want to run for something not made for this world.
3.) Please be kind to fellow players, this game is not one that can be won by wildly swinging. This is a game of teamwork, if you don't work well with others you may all suffer.
4.) Please be from or around the US, I've had a lot of trouble with timezones before, most the party as of right now is in Central Time.
5.) I will interview players! I want to see if I vibe with you and if the other players will vibe with you before throwing you into my game. The interviews are not professional and mor elike a conversation to get to know you and things you're ionterested in as well as past dnd experiences.
6.) No Experience Needed, everyone has to start somewhere, feel free to start here.
7.) This a Discord VC game, please be able to talk on vc.
You made it to the end!
I appreciate your interest in this game, please contact me on discord at bardicbynature
Once you friend me I'll begin your very informal interview, can't wait to talk to you!
