I am starting a new D&D 5.5e (2024 ruleset) using Maps VTT and Discord. I have a Master Tier Subscription so all content will be shared with you, and all you need is a dndbeyond account and Discord. I am looking to create a small community of friends to sit down weekly and roll some Dice. I have been playing since the 80's, and after recently moving to a new state, I am changing from face to face gaming to online. I will be doing a mix of VTT and miniatures and terrain over camera through discord, and I am looking for 3 more players to start a new Phandelver and Below campaign.
I am looking for friendly people who are reliable and just want to hang out and play dnd. No drama or BS will be tolerated, and it will be a safe environment for anyone.
Warning: if you are looking for an instant gratification game this will not be for you. I am looking for those who are in it for the long haul. I tend to play the long game, and I am in no rush to get through the campaign. With that said, I do run a "fast" session, meaning I like to keep things moving along as best as I can. I am looking for those who will be looking forward to joining week after week, who are on-time or can let us know you are running late, and mostly those who have integrity.
Player Agency: My philosophy is this, the DM isn't creating the story, the players are. Your actions, dialogue, etc. is what is making the story. Everything else is just there to tee you up to provide that drama. D&D is a game, and it is impossible to do some form of rail-roading players, however I am cognizant of that and do my best to avoid it where possible.
