We apologize that you both experienced some not so pleasant moments when first joining Terra, but we can assure you that the unfortunate events that occurred are not things that happen in Terra frequently and were rare occurrences or something of a blue moon sort of category as Steve stated above. The staff of Terra try hard to resolve any issues had with any players in a timely and amicable way, however the way that we conduct things is always behind the scenes through private messages with the individuals involved, so a lot of the things we do and say are not seen by the public eye. This may lead to some thinking we do not care and aren't doing anything, when in fact we do care about each individual player and are always trying to help solve any issues that may arise.

"The Bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame."
Yes, in the last few weeks we have had many new players join, as well as many people receiving well-earned DM ranks, and the server is thriving! It's a great time for new players of all kinds!

So far this session I have hit my teammates twice, flat-out missed 3 times, and only hit the enemy twice. Trust me, you don't want to borrow my dice.
Greetings, the name is Arkhal, though many in the server will call me either Dare, Marshall, Konorn, and other such names. Some are from my characters, others are from songs of my childhood. I am starting my career as an apprentice DM in the server, and I am ready to serve. Hopefully, I'll be able to write out some enjoyable encounters and stories with all members, old and new, as time passes. Thank you, that will be all.
We have an ever expanding dm team, active players, and friendly people all willing to play!! Come join us!!! Make terra your home!!! Been mind for nearly 4 months now and I've loved every minute of it <3
If you're ready to be truly sucked into an original world of vast landscapes and deep character interactions, I highly recommend joining Terra. I've only been a member for about a week and I'm already so addicted that I can spend what feels like two seconds interacting with these guys and, next thing I know, an hour will have already passed. I never played a game of d&d before joining the server but the bot commands used to carry out combat makes the learning process feel very smooth and intuitive, and there are a lot of people who will answer any questions you have, so don't shy away if you're a new player. There are a lot of creative minds here, with DMs hosting immersive, tense, and sometimes humorous adventures for PCs to interact with. I guarantee that you will make good friends and have a lot of fun if you join this server.
Only been in the server for about a week, but the people here are good fun. Character interactions are great and feel real. Even though it takes a while to get into the world, once you get rolling it is very fun and if you are having troubles the staff are more than happy to help. There seems to be something for everyone here, so stop by and say "Hi." I'm sure you won't regret it.
I just came here to say that it has been an enjoyable experience meeting the Terra crowd. I have already had people helping me on the server, getting my character to run smoothly with the discord system. They definitely highlight the RolePlaying aspect of D&D. The 24/7 aspect means that anyone anywhere can still find something to do in this vast land. I would like to see this server grow. The DMs are definitely interested in both encounters and telling stories. Try it out...come to Terra.
I had been a member of Terra for about half its lifespan, and I have to say I was madly in love with it for some time. It had a fun player base, and I had many great adventures with the people there. However, it is a fun facade that does fail as you get to know the politics behind it. It was easier to see the issue was more extensive then I thought after becoming a staff member on the server. There is a power struggle between the iron-fisted admins and the player base that wants to help improve the server. If you have suggestions, they will hear you out, typically before making fun of you in staff chat and voting it down. On a rare occasion, an idea that is "good enough" will make it through after being tweaked heavily. There have also been issues in the past where those on staff have used their influence. Moderators or admins were stealing magic items from stores or outright kidnapping and selling players into slavery. If you annoy the team too much as well, they will send their assassins to kill your character for whatever reason they can find, however, small the excuse.
If you're going to play in a server where the RP is fun but casual, and you can fight monsters without a deep storyline of any sort. Where you can be a slaver or murder hobo, this is the place to be. If you want your character to have a meaningful impact on the world, this is not the place for you. For example, slavery is allowed in Terra, but if your character has a strong moral objection to it, you will be unable ever to change this aspect of the world. The NPC's created by the admin team can not be fought in any way, as they are precious to them. For me, when I roleplay, I want to see the real issues and how they can play out, where your character can be a hero and save a village. These are the ultimate reason I left the server, and do not plan on going back.
I'm sorry you feel that way, but I really don't feel that that is true. For one, I don't really understand what you mean by "allowing anyone to join for the numbers and boosts alone", as that doesn't seem to make sense to me. Second, we all always try to help however we can, and we only tell people to read the rules when they are basic questions about the rules that we know are covered in the rules, and we appreciate people reading all of them as it helps them really get a grasp of how the server works. Third, I don't quite understand what you mean about fake smiles and backstabbing? There is some conflict here and there, that's simply inevitable, but I've been here for a bit over a month now, and that does not seem correct. Most of the people here are friendly, willing-to-help, and just overall pretty great people.
I'm sorry you've had this poor experience, but I encourage other people to still come, and try it out for themselves

As owner of the server, I have to say that the team of Admins involved with Terra are hardly "iron-fisted", nor do they make fun of players in the staff discussion channels. We, along with many other players, are always trying to better the server and help any member that may have a question or need guidance. We have many help channels related to just that along with pinned messages in each channel for additional information about the server, the bots we use, and many other things. We do have a suggestions channel yes, but suggestions are just that, suggestions. We do go through the posts players make in the suggestions channel and we carefully consider each one, whether we implement them or not is based on how well the suggestions would work within the server, and if they are necessary. There have been many suggestions posted that we have implemented into the server, some we have tweaked yes, many others we have not. As for the "items" being stolen from shops, we have had one instance of this happening where, a now ex member of staff, stole one item from a shop. The issue was handled within staff and that issue has never repeated itself because of the measures staff set into place. The same thing can be said about the PC (a player who is still an active member on our server) that was sold into slavery (something we don't promote, that has a VERY small part in the server, and something we don't have openly spread throughout the server). Now, the assassins "killing" a player was a legitimate encounter where the PC involved decided to make a tactical error, which lead to them being "killed". This PC has since come back to life and the player themselves are still an active member within the server. We have many deep story lines and events within the server that impact the world along with the multiple cities and towns located within Terra, the only thing we ask of our DMs is run their ideas by the Admin team, and to follow the very base structure of the world that has been already set into place since many of our team members have put in many hours of hard work creating the cities, towns, NPCs, etc set within Terra, thus why they feel so strongly towards them. From every member of the various staff teams we have within Terra, we would like everyone to know that we care deeply about the server itself, and the players within, and strive to make every players experience within Terra a fun, exciting, and fulfilling one. We encourage anyone that may have an issue within the server to contact one of our members so that the issue can be resolved swiftly and amicably, and we apologize to those who have not enjoyed their experience within Terra.

You know with peoples names being different on here compared to their discord names, I always wonder who is the people we talk to in here.
