With the bright and shining armor casting light down the passageway, you see something move into your range of vision, climbing up the stairs. Only, something seems to be wrong with what you see. It is clear that whatever it is, a tangle of thick arms, brawny hide and a great glinting golden eye has begun to climb, but as it moves it seems as if the very walls melt and drag a little bit, making an odd shuffling, almost liquid sound as it climbs. Once it gets to within about 30 ft of you it trumpets an earsplitting cry and charges up the stairs, making straight for the bright-glowing armored figure!
Roll initiative with advantage due to your preparations! (18)
(Definitely a large creature - it's width is easily the wider than the door frame, though this doesn't seem to be a problem for it since it reshapes the surrounding rock as it moves.)
Mr Peabody: the creature is not innately magical, but is definitely one of the odd monsters you have heard about that crawl about in the bowels of the earth. Sometimes such things are used as parts in occult spells, assuming that an adventurer is clever enough to retrieve them.
Red will peak his head down the passage, seeing the narrow confined he will cause the floor to ignite into a bonfire right in front of the beast. He will then follow by pointing and uttering a word of power, and 3 motes of fire shoot towards the beast. Finally he back out of the way to avoid the beast.
Create Bonfire dc16 save or take 6 if it continues on it's rumble
He will then spend a sorcery point to quicken a spell, and cast scorching ray
Attack: 27 Damage: 9
Attack: 16 Damage: 6
Attack: 17 Damage: 5
Add 5 damage to anyone that hit due to elemental affinity.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
( Sorry guys real busy week and even more busy weekend ahead but next monday I will be able to come back to normal schedule)
Lyndaran Initiative: 13
I will leave my turn here.
Lyndaran curses himself for not being able to find a better spot to hide than directly under one of the light sources but he didn't have too much time to do so for a large creature came up. He focused on it, expanding his conscience to get a better understanding of his prey.
He released his arrow, and fire another one without hesitation.
BA: Hunter's mark on it.
I have advantage on the first attack against it thanks to assasinate, granting me sneak attack damage.. With my nat 1 on stealth I would say it is not surprised so I will not roll crit damage just in case.
With dread ambusher I can add 1 attack and a 1d8 damage ot that one.
Mr Peabody stands near the center of the room where he can keep an eye on each passage
Paladin - warforged - orange
Red moves off to the side of door that is glowing red but opposite where the pool stands and hides.
stealth 12
Arturo slides to the right of Lyndaran, the barrel floating just above the floor for him to hide behind.
