The sun is bright over the world of Ebberon, and opportunity is in the air. In this day and age many adventurers look for work, you are some of those adventurers. You have received a letter from an old wizard friend residing in Aundair, his name is Tyndareus. The letter reads, "My dear friends, i have developed a craving from my college years and i yearn for the recipe, please come to my tower, we will discuss compensation there."
Please determine how you know Tyndareus and tell me. If you are not familiar with the Ebberon setting just go with the flow. You dont need to change your backstory or anything.
RULES

The young goliath is surprised to receive a letter from the old wizard. He had only met him on two occasions, neither of which were terribly flattering for Ironwall's self-esteem. Before his time as a soldier, Ironwall tried his hand as an apprentice blacksmith in the sizable village of Riverside. He took to the physical labor of it well, but as the master smith gave him more freedom to explore his talents, Ironwall made more and more mistakes. He once melted down a finished order to try and make it better, only to delay the completion of the sword for a full ten days as a result, drawing the ire of the customer. That garnered him a full month on horseshoe duty. He also overpromised on multiple occasions when taking orders, one time rushing the order to completion by producing poor quality goods as a result. The straw that broke the master smith's enduring patience was when the goliath decided he could save the shop money by filtering the used oil he had doused the white-hot metal in. Instead, he sent an oil slick the entire width of main street down the hill and into the river. The entire town had to use old Gerard Hancock's well for fresh water until the river was clean enough to use again. That happened six days after Ironwall had been fired as an apprentice and he was trying his best to clean up his mess. Tyndareus was passing through Riverside, stopping at the amusing sight of Ironwall covered in dirt and oil. Taking pity, the old wizard put magic to use in purifying the water and cleaning up the street.
Ironwall never forgot that, especially when he saw Tyndareus again a few years later. He had defended the town with sword and shield against pillaging goblins, holding the bridge until help could arrive. Tyndareus had gotten word of his feat and this time came to Riverside specifically to see the goliath.
"Ironwall now, is it?" the wizard had said as the goliath lay in bed recovering from nearly mortal wounds.
Shame filled the goliath at the ugly sight he made, covered in bandages, bruises, and broken bones. He glowed with pride at his new name, though. It was a proper name. The wizard had brought a potion of healing, truly the kindest gesture Ironwall had ever experienced. He owed Tyndareus two-fold now. So leaving the patient people of Riverside was an easy choice. Ironwall would honor the wizard's request, whatever he asked.
Sylfia finds the letter from Tyndareus slipped under her door, and immediately recognizes the name as one of the compatriots of her mentor, the wizard Zorxus. "I remember him; he's an honorable man. Since I have no work at the moment, I might as well offer my services." She sets out towards Tyndareus later that same day.
Bounces seems to have disappeared altogether. Why don't you just advertise it again? I'm sure if you don't disappear for 3 weeks before beginning, people won't drop out like this time. I'd reserve a spot for the next one; perhaps so would minddetective

Yep, but we can ask around if you prefer that method.
