Some say: "When the Rain comes it pours..." Guess, he was right.

The Inn has grown rotten, all that remains are a hall of rumors...and six people. One of them being Baromonds business partner, Cliff Ironhead. a Dwarf with a eye for talent, he firmly believes Baromond would do such a thing, he wouldn't though...Would he?

Flooded with memories, Elbar's golden eyes survey the room that he once called home for a brief, but important part of his life. He unconsciously eases the straps holding his longbow, longsword, and quiver on his back, the atmosphere in the room and the rain storm outside creating a feeling of unease. The stench of decay coming from the kitchens almost overwhelms him, but he does not show it on his face. "Hail, Cliff. Long time no see."He tries to make it a warm greeting, but feels that his tumultuous inner emotions undermined the attempt. He glances around at the other people in the room, scanning for familiar faces.
(OOC: Do any of us know each other? I'm open to it! I most likely would know 5 due to our shared fighting style and association with Chrois Dia. Also, am I right to assume we know Cliff, since we know Baramond?)

(This is entirely up to the party in that aspect, and yeah. You all know Cliff to SOME aspect, whether that be him coming around to see Baromond or Baromond telling stories of Cliff.)

Cliff turns his head, a large gray beard falls from his chin along with tears. His usually bronze eyes look rusted due to the water in them, he looks over for a simple second and then turns his head. You heard a "HMPH." And then he speaks: "Uh, Heya Lad. Sorry for how I look, HEH I'm a mess. Yeah, long time no see..." It's simple to tell, he's hurt by this.

Elbar feels a twinge of guilt as he takes in the dwarfs sadness, as well as the indignation at the time since they last met. "I apologize for my long absence, but the people of this city are still downtrodden and oppressed, and my work never ceases. I scarcely have time for carousing in taverns lately. As for how you look, you look like a true Dwarf. Anyone who would take the arrest of his friend lightly is no true friend, as the book of Chrois Dia teaches."
5 shakes their head at the messy scene in the tavern, wrinkling her nose at the smell of rotting food and who knows what else. Ugh, 5 thinks, Cliff... Whilst 5 had a great deal of affection for Baromond, she managed to get by barely saying anything to Cliff and that was how she liked it. Cliff was always complaining that Baromond should take coin for the ale Baromond gave 5 in exchange for game. But at least Cliff hasn't scarpered; though he should be doing something, anything about the state of this place.
5 shakes the rain from her clothes and looks around. A being of few words, she nods a greeting to the others though Cliff in his tears will probably have missed this.
As Forge enters the dimly lit tavern, his dark, worn metal form glints softly in the flickering candlelight. The years have left their mark on his exterior, with scratches and dents marring the once pristine surface. Despite the signs of wear, Forge's presence is still imposing, his eyes glowing with a steady resolve. Forge's longsword, a finely crafted weapon's hilt is wrapped in worn leather, the grip well-worn from years of us, sticks up from the scabbard at his side. His shield is similarly well-made, bearing the marks of many battles on its surface. The emblem of a long-forgotten kingdom is etched into the metal, a reminder of Forge's past and the purpose for which he was created. The shield is large and imposing, providing ample protection against the dangers of the world.
Ignoring the musty smell of neglect that hangs in the air, Forge approaches Cliff Ironhead, the only familiar face in the room. His movements are deliberate and controlled, a testament to his disciplined nature.
"Cliff...Ebar...Long time no see," Forge greets the dwarf and Ebar, his voice a deep, resonant tone that carries across the quiet tavern. He stands tall and imposing with his 6'5" and 300 pound frame, a silent guardian in the midst of uncertainty.
Cliff sighs, he creases the bridge of his nose with his index and thumb. Speaking now, his voice breaking...though it could be broken already: "For The Gods Sake, Baromond...why would he do this? I just can't see him as a killer." He look's around at all of them, now speaking again: "What're your ideas?"

"Don't believe it, Baromond was a story teller. Fighting was a last option for him." his voice resonating again through the tavern as he just rests his arms on the counter "Can I get an ale?" he asks, more out of habit to make those around him feel more comfortable with his presence.

Cliff scoffs, he mutters under his breath slightly. Then speaks: "I'd Rather believe the Flying Kingdom. They've got more of an eye for this thing."
Afterwards he walks out of the tavern, ignoring the large creatures ask for an ale.

"Of course it wasn't him. Why would you even entertain such an idea?" 5 spits out, her pupil-less eyes flashing with anger and her tail twitching behind her. "He's been set up. I don't know by who or why but it's obvious. We need to go to the Fallen Kingdom; we'll find answers there. And for everyone's sake..." she kicks a clump of something decomposing on the floor ..."clean up this place. You can't let his life's work go to ruin before we bring him back".
5 stops speaking and blinks, shocked by her own outburst its the most she's spoken aloud since she heard the news. She recognises Elbar "I trust your god won't take this injustice lightly?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Greetings Forge. I hope your joints are holding up!" Elbar's tone manages actual warmth this time. Turning to Cliff, he says, "I have good reason to say that someone probably wanted him out of the way, and framing him would do the job."
Elbar turns to 5, slightly taken aback by her outburst. He knows her to be fairly reserved most of the time. She must care for Baramond as much as Elbar does. "I don't believe any injustice will fare well in the sight of the Order of Chrois Dia." Elbar has a hard time using the word Cult due to it's negative connotations, but knows that that is the term used when referring to his order. "Is it safe to assume we are all friends of Baramond here?" He directs this question at the undead and goblin he has yet to meet.

Elbar seems to almost want to follow Cliff, but instead decides to stay in the room and see what the other members think. "Rather strange that he called us here, then left before telling us much. I can tell you he doesn't believe Baramond is innocent. I can't say I agree. Baramond was no saint, but I don't believe he would resort to assassination. I think we owe it to Baramond to find out the truth. Does anyone have any ideas about what our next step should be? I'm no detective, so I'll defer to whomever feels confident in this matter. Perhaps we can search his office?" Elbar looks to the rogue and the cleric expectantly, as if hoping their silence so far has meant they had some thoughts about the situation that were still percolating. He also glances at Forge, hoping he didn't hear what Cliff muttered.
"I am NOT going anywhere or doing anything with that.....THING" says 5, gesturing to indiciate the undead, the disgust and hatred in her voice clear to anyone.
