Bert, stands up straight and whips his mouth with the sleeve of his jacket, Listen love, I'm sure back where your from you're a real fine catch, but up here, you're just another slimy fish to be gutted and cleaned - casting Vicious Mockery4 pts
(I'm using DnD Encounters, so that automatically roles you initiatives for you (including your +#'s) if that's fine with everyone? I just find it makes the effectiveness quicker and easier.
Here's turn order & rolls for initiative:
23 - Bert Dewey
21 - Crew
19 - Kaelen Shadowstride
17 - Koya
15 - Kuhkay Fleetfoot
15 - Squall When multiple players/monsters have the same initiative, I'm just going with whoever posts first
((OOC how do you do combat, would you like us to post our action in turn and resolve them before moving to the next or all of us post our actions and you post the resolution all at once? Also, does that count as my action for the first turn of combat?))

We'll post in order of Initiative. If a monster or NPC is next, wait for me, but if it's a bunch of players in order (like it is for most of you) just go ahead and post your action.
You don't have to wait for me to post the resolving of your actions. I'm on here pretty often, so I should catch it before anything else happens.
Also yes, I'd say that counts as your action for the first turn of combat, as you rolled the highest Initiative, but you can still make your bonus action if you want.

Kaelen you're up. Also, just wanted to point something out roleplay wise in combat. On the map, you can see that Kaelen and Herbert are blocked off from the rest of the ship by Merrows C & D. Unless you kill one of them, or use a skill to pass them, they will block your path, preventing you from moving elsewhere on the ship.
Kaelen lashes out with another sneak attack on Merrow C with his shortsword since it is distracted by Herb being within 5 feet. He then uses his bonus action to attack (C if still alive, D if not) with his off-hand dagger.
Shortsword: to hit=21, damage= 7 + 6 from sneak attack
Just to let you know, when attacking with a weapon as a bonus action, you don't use your modifier, so it'd be a straight d20. It hits anyway, but just letting you know for the future.
