As the various members of the group tussle to establish their rank in the hierarchy of their new adventuring family, Naero slips past those away from the door and comes to stand at Larry's side. "Nimble hands. When we finish here I would like that you teach me this skill. If you're willing that is." He quietly praises the swift work.
((Asking for 2d20 was instructing the roller to add the results together. To roll advantage you either roll 1d20ad or 2d20kh. The former is the most commonly accepted but the latter will give the same effect by keeping the higher roll. Disadvantage is rolled in a similar fashion but with 1d20da, obviously.))
(How big is the opening & passageways? Can the bison join us, even if there is limited room for Tristan to ride it?)
You can bring the bison in, the doorway is wide enough. The ceilings in rooms are about 15 ft high, so you should be able to mount him in there. In passageways, however, you'll need to lead him as the ceilings are only 10ft.

Back and ready to DM and chew bubblegum. And I'm alllll outta bubblegum.
The door is well oiled and opens noiselessly, leading to a small, dark chamber beyond. The floor is dusty, and you see numerous tracks leading to a staircase descending from the rear of the room. Six stone coffins rest against the walls, three on each side. A stone slab covering each bears names, birth dates, and death dates, the latter from about 40 years previously. There don't seem to be any light sources you can see, so anyone without darkvision will need a light source once you're past this opening area.
"Bickering like a married couple already, are we? Impressive." — Morgan remarked, his tone a mixture of mild amusement and light frustration, as he placed his hand on an errant skeleton's shoulder blade and fried it with electricity, a light smell of ozone and hints of burnt flesh lingering around for an instant before being replaced by a smell of orchids and... popcorn?,just before dissipating entirely.
"While I do think banter and digs are an important part of the work, we're likely walking into someone... or something's den. And so the odds of this devolving into a dogfight are, shall we say, not insignificant."
He paused and, with a polite smile across his face, glanced around at the party members individually, mostly so the lovebirds didn't feel especially called out — "I trust we can all play nice? Just for the next leg of our little race." — he pleaded.
Not looking to linger too long on this particular topic, though, the white haired individual then turned his gaze towards the depths before them, making sure to not stray too far from his newfound shield bison-riding knight. "Who wants to go first?"
The light from the sword throws dark shadows from the standing coffins around, giving the eerie appearance of movement. The staircase before you stretches down into darkness.

Khessa is far less concerned than Morgan about the 'bickering', believing it to be something quite silly that will be resolved quickly and easily. Instead, she is entirely focused on finding the hostages, Dagult's friends... Given the darkness, she takes a pebble and magically it glows with a warm orange light. After that, she summons a floating hand, which begins carrying the pebble, shedding light as the party moves.
If there is room at Tristan's side:
Since there is room at Tristan's side, the blonde arcane warrior takes her place: "Let me keep you company, friend... Together, it will be easier to prevent any enemies from reaching our comrades".
If not:
Since there isn't room at Tristan's side, the blonde arcane warrior stays at the rear guard, so that she can act as a bastion in case someone manages to attack them from behind.
The tall adventuress however again chants a formula, accompanying it with esoteric hand gestures, surrounding herself with a protective aura.
[[ OOC: All three spells mentioned are Cantrips - when one of them expires Khessa simply casts it again. ]]
As Ozus displays a serious lack of judgement, Larry looks away from him while shaking his head.
In response to Tristan, Larry nods and mumbles "Thanks." while putting the tools away and drawing the decorative short sword, which he wills to glow.
Responding to Naero, he grins. "When we get a chance."
As the group begins to advance, Larry notes "I'm used to scouting ahead, but the need for a light and the sheer mass of the group won't lead to much success, so . ..." He follows behind the bison, off-line so as to avoid any fresh land mines.
With everyone settling into their preferred positions, Tristan takes the offered lead and moves down the steps next to Khessa. He keeps a sharp lookout for tricky terrain or potential traps.

Feeling a tiny bit deflated at the group's lack of reaction at his terrible joke, Morgan offered a brief sigh and followed suit into the mausoleum proper, ideally finding his bearings in the middle of the pack and preferably not too far from Tristan.
Used to relying on his typically keen senses in enclosed, darkened rooms, the Sorcerer kept an eye — and ear — out as well.
(Morgan's got Darkvision, and a passive perception of 20, if it matters. But because he's in the middle of the group, if anyone else at the front wants to roll perception and Matt's okay with it, then I'd love to have my character take the Help action, and give you advantage.)
A low growl emanates from behind the mask at the mention of marriage. The others see him tense, before taking a breath, his tone coming out even, and ice cold. "Already married I'm afraid."
His eyes glimmer in the darkness, his pupils slitted like a cats. A chuckle escapes him as the others begin lighting the area, and he strolls into the gloom, unbothered by the dark. He approaches the coffins pulling out his crowbar as he does a cursory inspection for traps.
Devil's sight, so Ozus can see normally for 120 feet of darkness. Matt, should I roll for traps? Also, he's going to take the time to read the names, just to see if anything stands out to him.

The names are Bharton Hallix, Olver Hallix, Vanessa Hallix, Lady Merran Hallix, Edmund Hallix, and Clovis Hallix. None of these names mean anything in particular to you, and there's nothing but scraps of bone and cloth in the un-trapped coffins.
Tristan, you're not real sure why he woke up and chose violence...whether it's just poor sense of humor or something deeper.
As Tristan and Khessa move down the stairs, they see a large subterranean chamber with stone coffins sitting on sturdy shelves. Part of the west wall has collapsed, creating an opening into another chamber. The pale light falls on a strange sight...marching around the chamber are five pale, desiccated warriors wearing wicked-looking armor.

Moving in and leading his bison, Tristan draws his sword when it starts to get dark, willing it to shed light.
