Setting his books under himself to get higher on the table, Kwisatz, an older gnome wizard with a white raven on his shoulder, orders a glass of mead and magically cools it before taking a sip. He then says "There is a lot going on here it seems... much more than simply finding a lead on the murder back in Waterdeep... I guess these murdered farmers are as good a place as any to begin."
Joshua is a young human lad, about 16 years old, sitting at the table casually strumming a lute with a large book in front of him. The book is covered in bronze scaled skin and latched shut, with a reptilian eye on the latch that seems to move around the room. Joshua is wearing basic leather armour with a rapier by his side, but the rapier looks unused and he isn't too happy about having either with him, but laughing and happy anyway.
He notices Dan point the group out and falls quiet, thinking back on the memory of the night of the murders.
Umdrak rips a bit of bread from a roll. The crumbs from the last bite still hangs from the grizzly beard of the old Dwarven man. A bow sits to the side of his seat as he talks with the gnome.
"Well, when a God talks to you in an old ladies backyard you can't but follow the lead. If those youths have already followed the trail of dead farmers we may not have much left to do."
"Do you think the Lady of Magic talked to them as well. Or is there an age restriction."
Talon would Chirp and Caw along with the others, occasionally mimicing a voice here and there to add to the conversation. His white feathers occastionally fluttering when the door to the inn opens and closes. This black obsidian looking beak would stand out quite a bit against the platinum plumage. As Talon wipes his feathered hands against his teal colored robes, his hand keeps sliding down to an ornate rod that is secured tightly to his belt. "You read book?" He would chirp before tilting his head and staring at Joshua with his large purple eyes.
Joshua looks at Talon, "As Tait said, I don't think we should open it until we know more. I am just trying to understand it better. I can tell that it has spells on it, spells of protection and traps. It feels dangerous. There is some entity or something inside of the book, but it is trying to hide. I don't know if it is good or bad. I feels like it would be able to bond with someone and maybe that could find more out, but it seems... picky. It won't just bond with anyone"
Joshua isn't sure about what is more important for his time, this book or these strangers to the town talking about the Nogor's
Tait is is a half-elven male of sixteen years of age. He stands five foot eight inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds. He has dark blond hair that he wears almost to his shoulders often putting it in a short ponytail when he is working. His has a sandy complexion that is often darkened due to time working outside. He is dressed in the clothes of a common farmer and carries a quarterstaff. He is sitting down at at the table with the other youths and may have more equipment on his belt that you can see when he stands up.
He listens to what Joshua has learned about the book. "I think that we should take this to Cecilia and ask her to take a look at this."
Noticing the newcomers looking at them from another table, he lowers his voice and whispers to his friends, "Who are those people and why are they looking and talking about us? Maybe we should leave while they are eating."
Talon would glance over to the other table his robe begins to shift and move a bit as Talon glances down towards his shifting robes and then towards his friends. "Wonder what they want?" Talon would mimic as "Wonder what they want?" is repeated from under his robes before the small white head pops out and looks around for a moment. A second later the entire Pseudodragon would crawl out and perch on the kenku's shoulder. "My new friend!" Talon would say as he motions to the familiar as it purrs on his shoulder.
Hoyle will enter the Twin Doves with bright eyes and a large grin while scampering up to his friends. "Hi guys, how are you? Did you learn anything about the book? These bracers we found add a lot of force to the arrows I shoot. Who are the old guys at the other table?"
Tait looks at the pseudodragon excitedly. "Whoa! Where did you get that Talon?"
Remembering the strangers, Tait quiets down. He then says in a lower voice, "I'll just go over their and ask."
Tait gets up from the table with his friends and approaches the table with the newly arrived gnome and dwarf. He'll stop a few feet away and speak to those seated at the table.
"Excuse me. I hate to interrupt your breakfast, but my friends and I noticed you looking at us and talking about murdered farmers. We found a murdered family of farmers recently; our friends the Nogors. What is your interest in this tragedy?"
Hoyle follows closely behind Tait and after he finishes, Hoyle adds: "Yeah and who are you? We know everyone from Red Larch, but haven't seen you around."
Brushing the crumbs off his hands and standing up Umdrak puts out a hand. "The name is Umdrak. We have been told by the Lady of Magic that you may have knowledge of a wizard we are looking for. His name is Fender and he is somehow connected to the murders."
"You wouldn't have seen us around as we are new. Just got here from Waterdeep. We have another round he may arrive shortly."
"You mentioned you were friends with the victims?"
Joshua walks over to the table and shakes Umdraks hand. "Joshua. We are friends with the survivors. The victims are... were their parents. We arrived in time to stop the kids dying but the parents were dead when we got there"
"Are the kids OK? We have a healer with us..." Looking around the tavern he realized that he had left again on arrival to the town. "Oh nevermind. I may be able to check them out."
"So you saw what happened? Did you manage to catch the person responsible?"
"They are shocked but unhurt. Thry are with someone else in the village, Cecilia Dreab, you can find her at Dreab stitches, just across the road. The murder was a couple of days ago so they have probably overcome weariness if they haven't been plagued by nightmares.
We only saw the aftermath, and two of the beasts left behind. Some hounds or something, Klaus was bitten and the bite burnt him so no normal hound. The parents and workers were dead when we got there, the kids were hiding in a shed. They saw a man enter and there were signs of more than 2 dogs but we don't know any more than that"
Talon would stand back away from the group, hesitant to approach the strangers. The kenku would then glance over towards his new dragon friend and a moment later the small psudodragon would fly across the room and land on a rafter above the table with the strangers, looking down and listening to their conversation.
Hoyle will add, "I found some tracks from their farm leading off to the north. Father Bryon and the Dan Greylock led a group out to the farmhouse to investigate after we returned the children to town."
"The person responsible was gone before we arrived and we were unable to track him. We concentrated on getting the children to safety. Who is this Fender?" Tait asks.
Above the table, the Psudodragon begins to snarl and howl.. just like the creatures in the house the night we found the children. A moment later chip would chirp from across the room. "Dogs! Scary dogs!" He would mimic in the voice of a child.

Morning in the tavern of the Twin Dove is always a special moment. It is not yet busy and the smell of freshly backed bread fills the place.
Both group are sitting at their table in small talks. They are both discussing what to do next.
The Alpha are talking with Dan, about the murders that have occurred on a farm a two hour walk from here.
He points to a group of youths sitting and chatting exitedly.
"They are the ones who found it."
(Take the time to describe your groups a bit and have fun. There are a lot of information both groups have and that might be helpfull.)
