Meepo waits a moment after the wizard speaks, making sure he heard the big correctly. Then he straightens, puffing out his chest and grinning broadly, many needle-sharp teeth showing. "Meepo brave adventurer..." He says, as if trying out the words. Then he nods decisively. "Yes. Meepo be brave adventurer." he moves back over and takes a seat again, the broad grin still on his face.
Stanimir gives Meepo a thin smile, and then regards Olin with a solemn nod, "You are indeed correct brave soul. Madam Eva can answer your questions, but I'm afraid we are but poor gypsies and can offer you neither riches, nor glory....nor further insight. However were you to be successful, know that you will held aloft as a hero to all of those souls currently trapped. You'll have righted a wrong, placed a salve on a blight in the natural world, fixed something that never should have come to be. I know this may not be the motivation of gold or power that you seek, but having your name whispered on the lips of good folk, as heroes, is it's own special reward."
Kane has remained silent throughout the proceedings, lost in thought.
Standing, he sweeps off his capotain and bows to the assembled company. “Forgive me for not introducing myself earlier. My name is Lucius Kane, investigator and warlock. I hope to get to know you all ere the night is through.” He looks directly at Stanimir. “This prince... by what name is he known?”
Olin stands straight and tall, looking into the Vistani's eyes. "Stanimir, I believe you misunderstand my motives. Those promises may put stars in the eyes of the others you have gathered here tonight, but I desire neither gold, nor glory, nor thanks. However, you have mentioned, though in passing, a call that I must answer." Olin bows slightly, "I am Olin Gisir, agent of Melandrach, King of the Woods and I am sworn to preserve the Misty Forest. I am also devotee of Silvanus, Oak Father, and I am obliged to set to rights any evil that stains or diminishes nature's glory. I will go with you and attempt to lift this curse." Olin smiles at Stanmir, "Now that's settled, do you happen to have any tea?"

"Did hear?" Meepo says to anyone close by. "Meepo go be brave adventurer with others..." He is clearly so proud of htis fact that it nearly shows as an aura around him. He drinks down his wine, then gets up, patting the amazonian woman's shoulder before wandering around the campfire area, making sure that any lost items are taken care of. he would not want things to not be taken care of when so many bigs keep leaving them laying there, or just dangling from belts, or, for that matter, even in a forgotten place in their pocket.
Stanimir smiles to Orlin, "Ahhh, tea, of course. Damia, please, brew the man some tea. Please, sit by our fire. You're welcome to stay the night here if you wish, otherwise we'll head off tomorrow morning, if you'd like to meet us back here."
As Meepo moves around the fire, the Vistani people absently put hands on nearby objects, or over pockets, having grown use to their little friends sticky fingers.
A few moments later a pot of tea is placed over the fire on a hanger and a while after that Orlin is sipping a nice tea. The Vistani go back to playing music, and resume dancing, as they try to take a bit more joy from the evening before retiring. They warmly welcome each of their new allies to dance and sing with them. The warmth of wine helps loosen folks voices.

Meepo is so very proud of these people he has traveled with. he has taught them how to keep track of their things so they do not get lost. He pats several of them affectionatly, giving them needle-sharp smiles of approval. He is so glad that he can help make sure things do not get lost and, at least for these bigs, it seemed he had helped out very well indeed. Moving back to his seat by his new friend, he offers up his cup for another refill, so glad it had not gotten lost while he was away.
(In my last post I misspelled my own name about a thousand times, I've fixed it now. It is Olin, not Orlin. That's embarrassing...)
Olin sits quietly among the Vistani. He takes comfort in these people's ability to find joy even though their lives seem so dark. Olin will watch them, trying to intuit their hopes, desires, fears. Who and what they are, and how well they can be trusted. When they have all retired to their beds Olin will remain seated and go into a trance, meditating on what this curse could be that is disturbing the balance of nature.

Having nowhere better to retire for the night, Kane remains with the Vistani. He does not understand why he has agreed to this adventure, but he is determined to accompany the motley fellowship on whatever road they might travel. Leaning back with a glass of wine, he watches the festivities with contentment.
Kane keeps an eye out for any signs of magic. He is always interested in learning new spells and techniques from experienced mages. Perception: 1
The evening festivities come to an end all to soon, and with a wide mix of feelings the five adventurers find a place to sleep. A Vistani named Ratka offers one of the wagons as a sleeping spot for the new allies. "We will double bunk among ourselves. You shall need some place to sleep for the next few days as we make our way to Barovia."
The feelings, ranging from confused suspicion to joyful elation to proud driven purpose merge in the wagon as the crew find a spot to rest their heads for the evening. Brought together by an unlikely creature, and summoned to a task that sounds dangerous and daunting, the group is full of shifting eyes and quiet deep thoughts as the crackling fire outside slowly dies into a drawn out period of occasional cracks and pops, lulling everyone to sleep.
The next morning the Vistani break their fast with a warm porridge that is shared with the adventurers, sprinkled with some browned sugar and cooked apple bits. Then the horses are fastened to the wagons and camp is broken as the group begins plodding south. They pass through Daggerford, taking the wide stone bridge across the river and onto the trade road south. The weather is cold, the sky is grey, and the weather is occasionally misty or drizzly, punctuated with dry periods.
Stanimir says, "It will take a couple days of travel to get to Barovia from here."
Traffic on the trade road is dampened by the weather and the late season, though tradesfolk and farmers with autumn crops do pass to the north on their way to daggerford or much further on to Waterdeep.

During the trip Kane notices Stanimir using magic in a number of minor ways. He'll subtly pull a cup to himself from across the camp, rather than get up and fetch it himself. He uses it to light up his wagons insides when he's moving around in there. And once Kane turned his back and Stanimir was sitting two wagons back talking to his daughter only a few moments after having been on another wagon talking to one of the men. His use of magic was subtle, but Kane was noticing it. Otherwise, he notes nothing.
Does anyone take care to do anything in particular on the next 2 days of road travel south?

At some point, Mordekai would like to find a quiet moment with Meepo.
"My wonderful new friend, I have a proposition for you. You are the reason I agreed to come on this quest, because of the fun to be had with you as a partner-in-crime, so to speak. How would you feel about becoming the most ferocious and feared kobold to walk these parts of the world?"
Kane will seek out Olin. The reclusive elf and his knowledge of nature and the wild intrigues him, and Kane is ever thirsty for knowledge. He trudges alongside the wagons, pipe in hand, his grey eyes darting about in search of the elf.
As Mordekai approaches him, Meepo would look up at him. Upon his request Meepo would look thoughtful.
"Meepo brave adventurer.. and... Feared..." He draws out the 'and'. Then he gives you a nod of his head and shows several needle-sharp teeth in a grin. "Meepo like. What Meepo do?"

"Give me your most terrible snarling face..."
As Meepo does this, Mordekai looks unconvinced. "Hmm, maybe not... How about your friendliest grin instead?"
As Meepo grins a terrible grin, Mordekai casts Minor Illusion to create a deafening roar coming from Meepo's mouth.
Mordekai feigns absolute terror at the result, then bursts into a chuckle. "A solid start, my friend. If we can keep working on that, your terrifying reputation will go before you everywhere."
