In a land of building tension and turmoil, the Adventurers Guild quarters of the city of Herona has received a generous offer. The guildmaster has brought together some of its finest to escort a mysterious traveler to the castle of Escheron. The party must navigate through dangerous lands and living evils to safely take their charge to the grand castle at the other side of the region. You better pack your bags and sharpen your blades, for you have been assigned to the Journey to Escheron.
This is a homebrew campaign. I need 4-5 players. The starting level is 5. Reply to this post with the following form filled out:

Try to make the backstory as best you can, and we’ll work to better tie it in to this world.
The ability scores will be randomly rolled, rerolling ones once. Please add this to your reply with the site’s dice roller.
All content except Critical Role is allowed. Edit: Also no Warforged
Backstory: Cora Brightmoon had a knack for meeting more people than anyone else could hope to do, and befriending almost all of them through sheer amusement. Always a talker, she managed to find herself in the company of a young elven noble, who introduced her to the magic school she attended. Despite not doing very well (who could get her to sit still?!) she managed to stay through a combination of puppy-dog eyes and the respect of her peers, who taught her what she needed to know when the teacher couldn't.
Talking to people also allowed her to meet a certain adventurers guild. When she joined, she proved her talents and schooling would not be wasted there, keeping adventurers alive and accomplishing missions rapidly.
Ethan has lived and worked in Herona for several years now. He recently has been working as a City Guard, and has been widely recognized for his effectiveness and skills. When he was given this new task it was not overly surprising to those who worked with him on a daily basis.
Ethan is a man of above average looks, heavily muscled, and wearing his city-issued uniform cleanly pressed. He has raven-black hair and steel-gray eyes. He is easy to like and fairly easy-going, making friends with others quite often.
Character name: Eira Nygaard Race: Wood Elf Class: Ranger/Hunter Backstory: Eira was abandoned as a child, left in the woods to die alone. Just as her life was to be cut short by the fangs of a wolf, she was saved by an odd duo - a gnome named and a goliath. The two were vagabonds, wandering the lands with no particular goal, simply living for the sake of surviving. But when they found her, they found a purpose in their lives and decided to settle down and take her in. They did everything in their power to keep her safe, but despite their efforts, Eira often found herself in dangerous situations. She had an adventurous spirit and loved to explore and the duo's over protection only amplified her curiosity of the world outside of their little home in the woods. Over the years, the duo found it harder and harder to stop her from running off and so, rather than trying to snuff out her passion, they decided to teach her how to survive in the wilds so that when she did inevitably find herself in the face of danger, she would be able to protect herself. When she came of age, and to no ones surprise, Eira decided to leave home and to pursue a life of adventure. Heading off to the nearest place of civilisation, she hopes to become an adventurer, completing various quests and missions and gathering stories for her to write about in the letters she sends home.
Backstory: Zadoris lived under the Shadeleaf household as the eldest son. As the eldest he had the most responsibility and expectations placed upon him. From as far back as he could remember he was always being put through some lesson. Day in and day out he had his nose is a book, hand on a blade or schooled in family history. Upon his 16th birthday he brought to an underground shrine upon their property. There his father and uncles took him through a ritual to choose a blade. There were dozens of swords all passed down through his fore bearers. He chose one, a longsword of simple design with a wirewrappes and blade that seemed to be made of some sort of bone as hard as steel. From there he completed a ritual to bond with the blade and after another year of training he was sent off into to the world to gain knowledge, skill, perspective before he was to return home and resume a place within the family.
If chosen I would like to work with the DM regarding some fluff. Things like the cosmetics of the spells changing but not the mechanics. Example, Eldritch Blast being a shockwave from the slash of the blade rather than a beam.
Backstory: Zargaroth barely knew his family, nor does he know his real name. He was abducted as a kid and trained by his kidnappers to be a spy and executioner for the organisation they worked for. They thought they'd broke him, they thought they made him a tool, read to be used, but he had a stringent will and did not like the idea of being a slave for all his life. When he got sent on his first mission, he managed to flee. Zargaroth is just the latest of variouse name he used since and he often taken jobs that keep him mobile.
Backstory: Having grown up among his kin in a small village, Neriel knew little about the vastness of the world. When a group of adventurers stopped by his village between adventures he, like most of the village, was excited to meet people from "outside". That night his village burned down. He would later be told that a quarrel between the adventurers and some townsfolk broke out and became so heated that it ended in a full-blown fight. Nobody remembers who started it but it is clear that the fires were the work of the magic users' ill-used magic. Having learned the lesson that magic can be very dangerous in the wrong hands, he decided to go on a voyage to seek methods of stopping spell casters from getting out of hand. So that, should he ever be confronted by the same situation again, he would be ready.
Backstory: Namor once was a normal human, who has served the Guild for years and was known for his talent to retrieve magical objects from hidden dungeons. Additionally, he was known to be a great entertainer and fought in many show fights. His ordinary life ended, when he was ordered to retrieve an old artifact for a mage. Rumors said that this artifact stores an incredible amount of elemental energy. When he finally found the artifact, hidden in its hidden dungeon, there was one thing he didn't noticed. The whole dungeon was filled with the elemental energy of the earth, that was emerging from the artifact. The energy trancended into his body with each step he took towards the artifact. When he finally touched the artifact it had completely transferred all it's energy into Namor's body and fell to dust at first touch. In the following hours and days his body shifted, leaving him with severe wounds, pain and fever. His skin was ripped, folded and healed again and again, his tattoos grow little roots into his flesh and became hard like stone and his hair turned into strings of black steal. When the transition was done he was reborn as an earth genasi. He decided to stick around with the guild, promising servitude to the guildmaster, who was watching at his sickbed and paid all medics and mages that were taking care of him in his days of transition. The guildmaster welcomed this decision, especially because namor showed new features, not only in his appearance, that were of great use for the guild. Namor's deepest wish is, to find a cure one day, a way to get rid of the elemental energy that is running through his veins and becoming a normal men again. When there was an artifact that exposed him to this energy, there might be one that will suck this energy out of him.
(edit: DM, do you believe in re-roll below 70? don't want to be a burden on the party)
Name: Theodr Race: Mountain Dwarf Class: Bard / Valor Backstory: The expectation was that young Theodr would be a soldier like his family before him. His interest in stories and music and <gasp> elvish stuff was derided as dorky or dismissed as a youthful phase. He kept up with his weapon training, but secretly knew he was something different. When he left home to "get battle experience" he instead headed for the college to study to be a bard. He thought it would be a complete break with his past, but he actually came to enjoy the combination of arms and magic. He has made his way over the years to Herona, gaining experience and rebuilding a (frosty) connection to his family by letters. For Theodr, supporting his allies is a way of assuaging his guilt over letting his family down.
